I think RX470  is one of the best gpu for mining it has a low cost of electricity but same hash as a rx 580, If you want to get a hash of  30 to 31 i recommend you to mod your gpu and get a afterburn  for tweaking your gpu Wink

Yes the most you can get with an Rx 470 4GB with Hynix memory is generally around 27MH/s.

I have been succesful in getting a few cards to run at 28.5 MH/s or so but most of them only run stable at 27MH/s or they require a higher voltage.

The issue with a higher memory clock like 2000MHz on the 4GB is that usually after a few hours or days, you will get massive amounts of hardware errors, and will require a restart. Usually the restart fixes the issue however you lose mining time during the restart. Hence you are better off just running them at a slower but more stable speed.
I suppose you have Hynix type H5GC4H24AJ, right? That should run 30+MH/s easy on good cards, but you probably use the timing from NerdRalph which is free and is also used in my tutorial. You need better timing. I've developed better one, but it was tested on RX 480 with few testers and doing around 31 MH/s, didn't cross the 32MH/s border as I wanted but good enough. PM me, I will mod your bios for free and let's see if it helps to you.

I had these videocards. They also gave 27-28mhs. Try to flash memory timings, in some cases it may help.

Hi, I have been mining with an 8 card MSI rx470 4gb mining edition for a year now and been getting the same hash rate with no problems until I got an error "opencl error -38 - cannot write buffer for dag" last night.

I am using blockchain driver and did not have any problems with it getting 30mhs per card. When I rebooted my system thinking it would fix the error, my hash rates significantly dropped to 8MHS per card.

I tried uninstalling Blockchain driver and Installed 19.4.2 driver instead, and now getting 14MHS.

How do I get my Hash rates back to 30mHs? Have you been into this situation? Is there anything else I missed installing or do I need to bios mod my cards?

BTW, I did not build the rig my self since I bought it as a Set from the seller so I have no idea what settings he did to get 30MHS. All I know is that its been running at 30mhs since I got this rig.

Please, I hope you can help!
Yep, you need ATI Pixel Clock Patcher https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-AMD-ATI-Pixel-Clock-Patcher

Blockchain drivers are too old for the latest Windows builds, install the latest drivers and switch cards to compute workload, how to do it is in the FAQ link.

I just started playing with mine, and i got it at 26.5 mh/s i fear for the hynix it will be close to the max.

Yea, I think it is close to max. My are on 26 for stable mining.

Did you menaged to push them more ? and what is your setup? Oc?

Right now 09/02/2018 with sky high difficulty, claymore 10.0 or 11.0 i got with ASUS rx 470 4gb Mining Edition (one click bios mod , fixed drivers only amd vga drivers no other crap, windows 7 64 bit) 29.5 - 29mh/s stable, 0 errors . - GPU 1150, MEM 2100 (on some 2090,2050,2070 ...)  memvdc - 850mv gpu vdc -69, fans 40-48%, gpu takes 44 watt.  . You can get 30 mh with gpu 1250 but not worth it i see power consumption increasing too much.
Can you share your mod and settings?

Has anyone had any good results overclocking the ASUS RX470 Mining Edition cards?

Hynix memory.

I have tried everything.
Basic strap swap
Various online strap mods, including UberMix 3.1

The best I can get is 27.7 MH/s. 1970 mem, 1167 gpu, no errors.

On MSI RX 470 (Samsung) I can get 29 and 30 MH/s with min to no memory errors in HWiNFO64.
