When the coin is trending and the volume increase on 60% up that's the time your coin called mooning and continue to high.

Personally, for an ICO I would say that it has mooned somewhere around the 10-20x mark, that would be an incredible ROI in this market. However, it is nearly impossible to expect numbers anywhere near this nowadays, as the vast majority of ICOs will either outright fail, or will fall in value shorly after the listing. It would need to be a truly groundbreaking ICO to actually gain in value instantly like the old days.

The price will called going to the moon if the price reached 10 times and will called going to the Mars if the price going up to 100 times. 10 times profit is big profit and this amount of profit only possible to get it by short times in crypto, in stock market we need to wait about 5 to 10 years to make that profit and only good fundamental stocks that will make it.

Typically, a coin moons when the value of the coin breaks a record or several records and its value just shot up. This sometimes can happen from market manipulation, especially with new coins, the familiar bump and dump phenomenon.

Every time I check ICOs and crypto forums, I read the hope of a doing going to the moon very soon.
So, how do we know when a coin has actually mooned? Is it at 2x, 5x, 10x, 100x or something higher?
We say moon or bullish trend of crypto when there is a continuous uptrend condition of the market prices. Basically,  we saw everything will be in green and most probably all coins prices are in x2 or more as of today's prices.

All these exclamations, it's just a hope intertwined with a sense of humor (or ignorance). Everyone determines for himself this point. Also each coin has its own maximum point (in some period). So, for example, coin A can't reach a price higher than x2 for some fundamental reasons, and coin B can easily fly up to x20. Nobody can predict this high point for earlier.

in my opinion, I don't think we'll know we're at the peak until the correction or consolidation actually forms and confirms it. What matters is that the token or project has gained a certain level of demand instead of an immediate sell-off after its launch.. Speaking of projects that deserve support, I think that WePower, eloncity and Menlo One are such projects to name a few..

For me moon means I made at least x10 profit from my investment. I made it once already with EMC2 last year. A lot of coins go even further up but it's a matter of personal perception.

Markets are not predictable, and how far some of the coins may go is not known to anyone, but one way or the other, if there is a huge increase in price within a short time and we get to see the market going huge, then, I would consider that a moon anyway. But there is no trip to the moon that does not need coming back for refueling anyway. Also, at the point when you just see the candle bar puncture the sky with a hanging man, then you should know there is no where else to go.

To be on the safer side when people are calling moons, just learn how to monitor and follow trends and you will know if the value has hit it or not.

Due to my past experience in crypto currency market the best way to if a coin has actually moon can be determine by the concept of the project and the bullish force that dump the price of the at giving moment. Meanwhile, the ICOs moon can be determine by studying the roadmap of the project perfectly.

In the long term crypto still able to give more than 10 times profit,  because currently total market cap of crypto is smaller than other asset.  Just compared with stock market,  like stock of Apple that has more than $1 trilliun alone, and total market cap of crypto just around $250 billion.

For each of us, the concept of the moon is different. For someone x5 and for someone x100, and only after the transaction was committed.

There is no way to know if the coin will moon x5 x10 xn. When you reach milestones, sell it. You should know that when the coin increases rapidly, it decreases rapidly. A very valuable coin can be rubbish after only one night.

I think we can say a coin has mooned. If that coin achieve its goal. And become a stable coin in the market and it was use all over the world.

Theres no specific multiplier where a certain coin can potentially reach but one things for sure if a coin do hits up its All time high then it would be considered as mooning on where these event is being hope by each trader because we do know that we can really make some serious profits with that event or even changed up our life status with those gains. This is why we are here which we do make investment to make profits.

This Mooned word is been usd nowadays a lot of times but i don't think many people really know about it and about its usage. The best time you can say that bitcoin or altcoins price are mooned is when there is atleast 25% to 50% increase in the price of the tokens after the recent swing low point has been made. I think we are just going to see a another mooning in the bitcoin chart soon.

If you want to find a coin that will bring you a good profit, then just look for crypts that are very popular among people. The higher the demand, the higher the price.

Mooned = A giant spike. Or when a price is going up astronomical levels.

As the above statement suggests there is no one fold change figure that can immediately suggest the term as this is all relative and of course it depends on how people see the market but usually its when there is a sudden, steady and large increase in price.

There is trouble abrewing
it really depends on the coin and the market situation at that point.
for example there are tiny coins that are worth 1-10 satoshi. if these coins go up 10% it is nothing, and nobody gives a damn. they at least have to go up 100% to be "mooning" and they can go up as much as 10000% and it has happened in the past. these are easily pumpable coins.
then we have big coins with huge market cap. if they go up 10% that is their moon!

also during those times where you can call it "pumping season" these percentages need to be higher to be considered mooning because everything is getting pumped.

Hey, keep in mind that it's basically a joke to get fun. You won't see a traditional trader saying to colleagues while in the office "Microsoft mooned last night" Some individuals like to say their coin mooned when it increased by 10% from yesterday. Some will says it if the coin makes x10, and others x100, etc.

Going to the moon is to describe the linear increase in a short time so that the vertical line "Intersection of time and price" is as long as the moon's distance from the earth.
This is true of course, but there is one important additional requirement. This huge increase has to be maintained. Too often I've seen an equally steep decline back to earth short after the "moon landing".

I myself, if I bought a coin and fell, I will hold it until the coin falls 10% below the price when I bought it, so my coin's benchmark has fallen below 10% of the price when I bought it directly.

it does not have to be $ 100 or $ 1,000 or $ 10,000, so if a currency increases in a short time it will be "Going to the moon."

I think nothing can say if the one coin has actually mooned because the market is so unpridectable here in crypto if you satisfied in your profit you can say it has actually mooned, for me x2 profit and higher is actually mooned.

I think it varies from person to person. Usually when someone is going to invest in any ico or crypto currency, they use to set a target that I will sale these tokens/crypto currency when it will reach to 1000X. When you are increasing your profit then you have to increase the time. For example during ICO ETH was $0.311 and now a days it is 408$ which is 131089.71% increase, you can imagine the time and profit.

I guess it doesn't matter how many X but as long as you profited already. I don't see it often these days that users keep posting "moon". 2016 was more exciting than today. People kept posting lambo car and so on. Today are just boring. There use to be a lot of users keep dragging the price of a token down with all the lies they can come up.

Actually when I am hearing the word moon. "The coin mooned" or something. I am thinking that the coin got popped. What I meant by popped is that, it went so HIGH! Like it beats an ath or something.

I think it's hard to tell like market is unpredictable thus we don't know if that must be the ceiling. So we can just at least claim that it mooned when it reaches new all time high just like what happened to bitcoin when it reached $20k and everybody says that we already taste the moon. Oh I wish we can taste it again. Grin
