Yea same 6870 here @ 280-300.  Used on Clist runs good looking for a used 5870 now as I think it outperforms and is cheaper

5830 is my choice as well, given its overclocking potentials.

5830 is the best from Mhash/s for $$$ perspective. 300Mhash/s for under $100 (if you find used one...)

6950 is the best miner. I use a pair of them unlocked to 6970 shaders and OC'd 920 core w/ +20% power and get ~750mh/s total. Not bad seeing as I built this as a gaming rig and just recently found BTC.

Is it the best though ? What was the cost for this?

2 x 5850's get just over 700HM/sec as well... at maybe 1/2 the cost!

having mined on 6990s 6950s 5870s, i got to give it to thee 5870s hands down, if u can get a hold of them they are cheaper, stay cooler, use less heat, and mine push 390-400megahash with some OC(default voltage) straight out of the box.

Just started and I was curious if anyone had experience comparing the 5xxx line to the 6xxx line in terms of Mh/s.
