I think it's important to distinguish the difference here between "Atomic Swaps Wallet with Decentralized Exchange, Changenow and Evercode" and the true technology behind this https://blockgeeks.com/guides/atomic-swaps/

Saying to avoid anything associated with Atomic Swaps is completely unwarranted when there are great projects out there building real solutions that help users exchange cryptocurrencies cross-chain without middlemen.

A great example of this is Liquality: https://liquality.io

(current swap interface works with Testnet Bitcoin and Rinkeby Ether (https://liquality.io/swap/)

And it's completely open source: https://github.com/liquality/liquality-swap

I will wait for their confirmation. I have downloaded and used their Windows wallet, and everything is fine. But quite suspicious when their team involved in Changenow.

Be very careful. As a precaution I deleted the Atomic Swaps wallet download and uninstalled the software. Just as changenow did to the OP if you use Atomic Swaps and they freeze your account citing KYC then what will you do?

They are all connected with each other: changenow, changelly, evercode, atomic swap

Please be careful, better to delete Atomic Swaps just as I did. Do not use it otherwise you risk losing your funds under the guise of requiring AML/KYC.

Somebody reported Atomic Swaps are part of the same group of associated scams as Changenow and Evercode: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.45881485

Will do it as soon as I power up my laptop - luckily the wallet required 64-bit OS and I don't have that on PC  Grin

I hope people will see your warning before they start losing money. I'll certainly spread the word.

Thank you. I hope as many people a possible avoid all scamming "projects" whether they are coins, tokens, exchanges or websites.

Thanks for the heads up. I've downloaded the app as a part of an airdrop but up until now my balance is still 0 and the app itself doesn't do anything except taking up hard drive space and wasting bandwidth while my computer is online...

"Atomic Swaps Wallet with Decentralized Exchange" is effectively not what it seems.

"KYC/AML is the common practice for any legal business to prevent money laundering. However Atomic Wallet is an anonymous custody free service, we don't have access to your private keys and funds. But if you use built-in 3rd party Changelly or ShapeShift exchanges, you accept their terms of use"

Please see this post: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.45835024

How would you feel if you used Atomic Swaps but your funds got stuck in limbo because they used selective scamming process but said their partners (changelly or shapeshift) blocked the transaction and requested your ID for AML/KYC purposes?

Atomic Swaps has been outed as being part of the same core group of operators that are associated with Changenow and Evercode, both have been accused of serious fraud and scams.

Please avoid using anything related to Atomic Swaps, Changenow and Evercode.

Thank you.
