I've been trying to reconfig the 2Wire Uverse router

The manually configured DHCP range is not within the specified subnet or you have entered an invalid DHCP Lease time.

Any ideas?

When the Cube's default address (192.168.1.254) is in conflict the router there is no need to change or re-configure the router there is a simple solution: Connect the computer directly to the Cube with a standard Ethernet cable, a cross-over cable is not needed.

1) Change the Computer to an address on the same network as the Cube like: 192.168.1.2.
You should be able to access the Cube at 192.168.1.254:8000

2) Change the Cube's IP address to an unused address on your network.

3) Restore your computer's settings.
You should be able to access the Cube with the new address.

Hah!  That's a way simpler solution.  Wish I would have thought about that when I was setting the Cube up!  What a pain in the ass that thing was... lol

Thanks for the reply.  I've been to that link also.  I guess I will just keep scratching my head and see what I can come up with.

Sorry bud.  I am scratching my head, too, as I can't understand why it would be giving you an error.  Wish I could see those screen prints!  Undecided

I can't get your pictures to load, but that is definitely a strange issue.  Not sure what is going on.

I no longer have my Cube as I sold it for some new Scrypt mining things.

You might check in here and see if anyone there can assist:

When I try to make the Address Assignment FIXED, it comes back with ERROR.  No other explanations.
Also, my Cube shows no activity.

The only difference with my setup and yours is my computer is at 104 instead of 111.
Thanks for you help!

Press the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard.

Open up Paint.

Paste the screen capture.

Save as a JPEG

Go to http://imgur.com/ and upload your picture

After you upload there will be code listed under "BBCode (message boards)" on the right hand side of the screen.  Copy that and paste it in a message on this forum.

I need to see exactly what you are seeing in order to help because I don't have a clue why it would be giving you that error.

I've been trying to reconfig the 2Wire Uverse router like you show, but each time I get this message:

Errors

The manually configured DHCP range is not within the specified subnet or you have entered an invalid DHCP Lease time.

I copied your example verbatim 3 different times but always got the same message.  And the Lease Time stayed at 24 hours.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I would have included a screen shot, but I'm still still trying to figure that out.

AT&T UVerse - ASICMiner Cube Solution [With Pictures]

Alright, well long story short, I got my Cube about 24 hours ago, finally got it working now.  The main problem that I had was that my IP address of my router was the same as the default IP address of the Cube.  So, here is my guide to working around that - with pictures.  I needed it spelled out for me because this was more networking than I have done in a very long time.

1)  Plug in power and ethernet connectors to the Cube and get it connected to the router via Cat5.  I'll assume you have already read Dogie's set-up guide (here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/guide-dogies-comprehensive-asicminer-cube-setup-hd-352658)  and are reading this because you are stumped after a few hours of trial and error.

2)  Now that your Cube is plugged in, go to your router address - UVerse default is - http://192.168.1.254/ then click on Wireless and then DHCP.  Click Configure Manually and enter the information like I have below.  You don't need to necessarily use the same First and Last DHCP Addresses that I have, but 149 addresses is more than enough for me, so I left it that way.

3) Next change the computer in which you will be running the mining_proxy.exe file on, to the following IP:  192.168.1.111  - To do this, again go to the router (you will likely need to recconect after changing the IP of the router), this time http://192.168.1.1/ and click on Wireless then click on IP Address Allocation  (See the image below if you need help with finding this)

4) Run ipconfig.exe to ensure that your IP and Gateway are set-up correctly.
Start Menu -> Command Prompt -> cd\windows\system32\ -> ipconfig
See the picture below.

5) Make sure you know your login and password from Slush's Pool ( http://mining.bitcoin.cz/ ).  This sounds stupid, but more than a few people have let this stump them for an hour or more including myself after switching back and forth between trying to get Slush's pool to work and trying to get BTC Guild to work.  I am going to try BFGMiner in a little bit and include that if I get it up and running but I want to mine for a little bit since I finally got connected to something!

6) Next fire up your mining_proxy.exe with this command line:
mining_proxy.exe -o stratum.bitcoin.cz -p 3333 -gp 8332
It shouldn't do anything right now since you still have to configure the cube.  Might look something like this, but results may vary:

7)  Last set up your Cube information by going to http://192.168.1.254:8000/ - this is the default address of the Cube, you may or may not have changed it.  I changed the IP to be http://192.168.1.201:8000 in this example.  See the pictures for all of the information.  You should have all of the information now or at least see a picture as to where you can obtain that information.

Now if you click over the Mining Proxy window then you should see something like this, and hopefully you see your Cube hashing away now.  This was a stressful pain in the ass for me to set-up so hopefully this little guide helped someone.  The information was already out there, but it still took me a lot of time to get it all working.
