Finally, because of the students' movement, the dictatorial and murderous Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, resigned and fled the country. In fact, the students' movement is very dangerous, which we came to know because of this movement. Today almost all the people of Bangladesh are happy. In 1971, Bangladesh became independent from the ruler of Pakistan, today it is independent from the ruler of dictator and murderer Sheikh Hasina. Today, joy is being cheered all over Bangladesh like the joy of Eid. Sweets are distributed to everyone where I live. However, the student brothers succeeded in the end, I feel very good today. Thank you student brothers for resigning dictatorial government Sheikh Hasina.

This is very bad I feel for them, I really don't understand what the government of today is turning into, now the government is now more powerful than the citizens that voted and placed them in office, a lot of this things are happening in many countries and no body to help them.

But my question is that, those law enforcement agencies that is always helping all this politicians to kill and injure protesters are they not suffering same thing don't they have family members that are suffering, for me I see those people as the most foolish people on earth.
I just don't understand why someone will allow his follow human to use them, if they law enforcement agencies do the right thing the world will be a better place.

But our country's armies and people of any law lick the feet of the government. Thousands of students have died in this movement, but this movement will become more intense from today, and again the students will demand their rights  will enter.

The court's judgment they reduced the quota system quelled the protest to a large extent. But the failure of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to apologize for her actions and her silence regarding justice for the atrocities against protesters is scary. This might lead to a bigger protest which will lead to the collapse of the government. It seems the government has started taking stupid proactive measures by arresting the organizers of the protest, claiming that they are securing them.

The government of Sheikh Hasinanis becoming weaker, and with more pressure through protest, it might collapse. So I think the next phase of protest should be " Sheikh Hasina must go". It will lead to more deaths since the military and police are senseless. However, one of the means of proving that the labor of the jailed, wounded, or dead protesters is not in veil is to bring the prime minister and her cronies to judgment. She deserves to be forced out of power, sent to jail, or go into exile.

No work is being done, Sheikh Hasina was in hiding during this student movement. These were fugitives of the minister, because when the agitation was intense and the students were shot in the chest, the students became more aggressive.

Especially when such a situation was created in the dark of night in "Dhaka city" in the heart of the students, since then the army entered the field. And this army entered the streets on behalf of the government and attacked the students aggressively. This is a very disgusting act, the Bangladeshi army acts impartially.

But our country's armies and people of any law lick the feet of the government. Thousands of students have died in this movement, but this movement will become more intense from today, and again the students will demand their rights  will enter.

Do not touch Israel and you will continue to live poorly in your villages.

Why making joke out of something serious. You can see from the images there how this students have suffered because of their government retaliation into a peaceful protest. It’s not nice to bring an off-topic discussion here if you’re not willing to add anything relevant to the discussion.

My condolences DYING_SOUL to what you must have faced in the hands of your government. I hope Justice will prevail soon and all the oppressed and the people behind this heinous act be dealt with. The international bodies are to take responsibility of this, I hope they act accordingly in this course.

What are you talking about?
Bangladeshi people does not even believe that there are a country named Israel in this world. This isn't a thread to talk about Israel and it's irrelevant. If you are supporting Israel in this thread, go and fuck yourself. I usually do not want to response to trolls, but I had to write because I don't even recognize Israel. It's illegal country on the world map.

I sympathize with the injured and I condole the families of those that have lost their lives in this struggle. What you're going through is not much different from what many people who are living in underdeveloped and corrupt countries and wants justice and equity are facing. Some youths in my country have organized themselves and are planning to stage a peaceful protest against bad governance, I wouldn't be surprised if hoodlums hijack the protest and turn it into violence that will cost lost of lives and properties. The struggles will continue until justice and fairness is achieved otherwise the oppression will continue, but remember to prioritize your safety during these protests.
The global space is filed with so much crisis right now, and majorit of this crisis are all originated from the government, it's either there be a tyrannical leader who constantly make anti citizens policies and promote high rate corruption oppression and manipulations, all this have resulted into this kind of urgly situation, and this is not only happening in India but almost in every country around the world, worst is happening in Africa and other  poorer continent where the political system is corrupt and only those that belongs to the cycle benefits from the general wealth of the nations.
I guess protest use to be the way that the citizens communicate they grievances to the government but at this point, most of the tyrannical leaders now sees protest as anti government and a direct declaration of war against the government, so anytime there is a protest, the government organise attacks against it citizens.

Finally got back internet. But unable to access anything freely. Good thing we can still access Bitcointalks without any kind of bypass or issues since it uses ancient technology. Currently using 1111 VPN to access social sites. Let's see what the government schemed next! I'm assuming they are covering up everything at this moment. And the news of the data center being damaged? I'm damn sure it's 100% fake. Using private proxy and Ip people are getting enormous speed. But most of us don't know how, hence we are stuck with this.
Completely fake, And even if the Datacenter damaged it's their drama to put on silence the protest. The reason is very clear that the movement became massive and became a threat to our dictator it is only for the internet and the social media. And that is why they bring these drama  now.

Anyway, sadly according to the international news reports currently more than 200+ peoples are killed on this situation . It is believed that in reality this number is above 900, yet the real number has not been revealed to everyone.

------------Anyway I would like to say you update the infos on OP about died people----------------

16 dead....
the footage that's circulating on most media platforms isn't showing that what is happening is a mere protest. Most of the videos on Facebook shows students retaliating and overwhelming soldiers while killing them in the process. While we condemn the act of negligence on the rights and previlages of the Commoners of Bangladesh, it's worthy to note that when students resorts to open killing of military personnel and go on to share photages of such on the media that it's going to send a wrong and misinforming message to the public.

You all should stay strong and defend what's right but not at the expense of your lives and that of those that are facing similar fate with you. I saw a video where a local police officer that was driving possibly a government vehicle was but too badly without mercy and it got me seriously bothered. Do the protest the right way and face who is your real enemy not their servants that are also neglected like the students. Sometimes we make the mistake of attacking ourselves and fighting back ourselves during times of war while the real bad eggs are left untouched.

Since this morning, the internet has been shut down, the wifi line is not being provided properly. We will see a day that we have never imagined. Facebook has been closed so that the news of this movement does not spread. Not all media are publishing real news. I condemn our honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh and the country. Finally, I pray for the students that Allah keeps them healthy and that the students win.

I am totally shocked by realize what the media is doing. They aren't spreading the real news, and they do not cover most of the news. The government authorities shut down all internet in DU and used a Network jammer to trap the students and started to fire and kill them. Almost no media covered this thing. The Police and the Bangladesh Student League killed at least 30 people. But the media said dozens were Injured! What the fuck, man? Dozens Injured? The Number of Injured people reached over two thousand, and you guys are still talking bullshit. Where are International Broadcasting Media's?

I have never felt so powerless, hopeless, angry and guilty all at the same time. I can do nothing but pray for our brothers and sisters. Death to this tyrant, so that our suffering can end.

This is purely inhumane and a show of wickedness of the highest order. How do you reserve opportunities for the people that need it the least while the general populace is left almost out of your plan? And it even gets worse that vacancies are left unoccupied while people are still struggling to get a source of livelihood?

This can only come from selfish and uneducated political tyrants who never genuinely visited the four walls of the university but managed to benefit from the faulty system they created and don't want to fight against it since it's still in Thier favour.

It's not bad that they give various allowances or special benefits to freedom fighters wnd thier imidiate children but why will quota benefits be given to their grandchildren's generation? What is the contribution of grandchildren to the country? And then they have to make the margin to big that the masses and the best brains can't even be made good use of.

As a student, I know how discouraging it can be when you're in school and almost certain that you won't get employed after school because most of the available positions have been reserved for some selected few who might not even take thier academics seriously.

Stand up and defend your right or sit back and die in silent. Viva aluta 🫂

I just took a look at some article explaining this situation, since I had no context of what this quota system was about, I first thought it was a system which sought to increase taxes or force people to work for some "quota", but I understand now, it is about rewarding secure and well paid employment to those who are relatives of the soldiers who fought for the freedom of the country in the 1970's.

Well, to me the problem begins with the government being the central authority which has stockpiled the most important and sought-after jobs in the nation. It is kind of funny, because here in the country I live, we have a conpletely opposite situation, in which the government jobs have bad salaries and conditions, so people prefer to work for private entities or companies.
if Bangladesh had allowed for the job market to be more open and there were better working conditions within the private sector, probably this discriminatory quota system would have not been even passed as a law.

Even those jobs wich are alledgedly reserved for people with good merits are probably going to require loyalty to the ruling party of the country anyways.

The current quota system in our country clearly a curse for us. Not only the government failed to eradicate unemployment problems but they are the one causing it. The quota system should be scraped immediately. We are fighting for our rights, and we will continue to do so. This tyrannical government is destined to fail. When you oppress 170 million people, you are calling your own doom.

-DS

When a government turns on the citizens then it is time for the citizens to turn on the government and the ones who enforce their oppression. If you cannot remove the tyrant peacefully then you have a duty to remove them physically  ...but they must qualify as tyrants first.

Do the majority of your citizens support these government policies?

Is your government an elected government than can be removed from power through the ballot box?

Is there an adequate form of opposition in your parliament to challenge these policies?

Has you media and public/civil service been captured by authoritarians?

If your government has gone full Stalin or Chairman Mao then there is no need to check any boxes and time to march instead.

Can you imagine, a country where 56% of government jobs are in the civil services reserved for children of freedom fighters, women, specific regions, disabled people, and ethnic people? While we are left with only 44%, which is clearly a
Unfortunately, the world has negatively evolved to a stage where we can only sit back and pray that things get better but can't really help out in any meaningful way. The International bodies that are saddled with the responsibility of coming to the aid of the less privileged in the international society have been silenced because they are all playing politics with people's lives and freedom and your life and what becomes of it is now totally in your hands.

Almost in all parts of the developing world, this is what's their current fate and the crazy thing is that the individuals that are sent to carry out this molestation and people who are also struggling and can't even fend well for themselves and don't even have a taste of the privileges these political tyrants are enjoying. I condole with the student and hope the bodies that have what it takes to intervene in these cases get to action as soon as possible cause these pictures are madly gory.

Those images are really disturbing and my condolences to those who have suffered from injuries and abuse. We also face the same thing in my country and we end up beaten, killed, and imprisoned if we protest. The majority of the best jobs in the civil service are reserved for the children and relatives of politicians. The quota system was designed to promote inclusiveness and equality but sometimes it is used by the ruling class to oppress the poor. I wonder how the government will reserve 56% for a few individuals while the other population is allowed to struggle with few employment opportunities. I want you to be encouraged because oppression will not last forever. Don't give up on the fight to promote fairness and equality. But you should also ensure that you engage in lawful protests. Take heart mate.
This kind of politics is ugly, because people's blood should not be played with. As this kind of politics usually takes a gruesome form, I entered every link to see every student bleeding profusely. And these bloods involved the police and Chhatra League forces but it must be judged from the outside world, basically it can be a victim of the tyrannical government. Seeing the blood from every child's body, these are truly tragic history and battlefields.

With a heavy heart, I am writing these words to let the whole world know that recently, students in our universities in Bangladesh have been subjected to severe torture, harassment and attacks by government officials and student politicians, known as the "Chhatra League" while protesting against the quota system. We are in desperate need of help. The roads of Dhaka are awash with blood and horror. Members of the Chhatra League are attacking students on the orders of our tyrannical government. They have attacked defenseless and injured students of Dhaka University in the middle of the night. They have blocked the campus gates to prevent us from protesting against the quota system. The media, social media, internet and electricity supply are being controlled by this government. Police have fired tear gas and gunfire at students. Even women are being attacked mercilessly; there are even reports that Chhatra League members have entered women's dormitories with acid and committed rape. At least a few hundred people have been injured, and about 5-6 students have already died. The situation has created an atmosphere of fear and opposition, and many of us feel helpless to change it. The entire country is on fire. The government has already tried to make us look like villains by saying that we are "Razakar" , trying to turn the situation into a political issue. But I repeat, this has nothing to do with politics. We were peacefully protesting while we were attacked by them. We are fighting for our rights. But this tyrannical government and its followers are ambushing us from all directions. At this very moment we are actually dying in the hands of the oppressor...

Can you imagine, a country where 56% of government jobs are in the civil services reserved for children of freedom fighters, women, specific regions, disabled people and ethnic people. While we are left with only 44%, which is clearly a discrimination done by our quota system.

I cried while writing these words, I think I can't continue writing... I humbly ask the members of our local and international community to stand with the students by spreading this tragic news!

Last update: 200+ dead and 20,000+ said to be injured, the real number has not been revealed to everyone, the govt is trying to cover up everything. (26 July, 2024 -- Fri 3:27 AM)
