This will probably follow the bell curve and normalize eventually, standard deviation. Statistics works on the stock market and so it more likely applies to cryptocurrency markets.

The smarters ones buys a variety of altcoins when the prices are low. Even if a few doesn't rise as much, there is always the one which brings in insane profits later.

When BTC rises you can either sell BTC for USD or altcoins. Its best to do both as well as keep hold of a few BTCs. Basically do everything Grin

As an "altcoiner" I do not find this as suicide inducing. After being thru the $260 - $50 crash of BTC, this is a leisurely stroll in the park. As history has proven time and again in the crypto-currency markets, these crashes are excellent opportunities for those not yet invested to get invested at an amazing price point. Just talk to those who bought BTC under $70. The promising alts will rebound, others may die - but I truly hope these events do not push anyone to thoughts of suicide. If they just look at history and the big picture, they will see that this is simply a bump in the road and crashes are traditionally temporary situations fed by frenzy of panic. Once the panic subsides you are left with those who regret getting caught up in the panic and those who benefited from those poor souls who got caught up in the mob mentality of chicken little. Pick your side wisely!

you know what they say about a rising tide...

Yes. A rising tide lifts all boats. But that isn't happening in this situation.

There must be a lot of boats with holes in the hull.  Cheesy

False assumption. Actually if you can hit a nice big fat dump you can get ANC, CGB, XPM and LTC for peanuts and usually you can sell them for a bit more peanuts at the subsequent correction. Sometimes for a lot more peanuts Smiley.
