Attention !!!

Fake  site https://bitcointalk.to
REAL        https://bitcointalk.org

It looks absolutely identical !

I suppose you can fall for that one only when you visit the site for the first time. If you are already registered most browsers these days will autofill for you and you don't even have to type the whole thing so chances of landing on an unintended site are very slim unless if you don't log into your browser account.
Perhaps, dear friend. They want to catch on inattentiveness and if a person is in a hurry. Losing a good account is a grief.
p.s. NOW this  site also is Work!

Read and comprehend. Evaluate and take action.
Guys relax and don't stress. Why? Because nobody cares.

Why nobody cares? Here's why.  I have a number of bitcointalk domains and I've had them for a while. Registered and traded stuff to own some them with one purpose. Why? IN CASE this original bitcointalk.org  gets hacked, shuts off, gets seized or whatever happens to it there will be a chance to set up a copy of it and point to it with one of those .NET or .INFO extension.

And what, I sent a PM to forum admin but didn't hear anything back. This forum has gained what is called *critical mass*. There's no need to worry.

There's one of the websites similar to this with .club extension. And what? Nothing  Smiley

You can use your hosts-file to stop your computer from ever accessing that site again.

I totally fell for the cloned site, until I realized I couldn't see your trust ratings.
I have added this line to /etc/hosts
Code:
127.0.0.1       bitcointalk.to
Now my computer can't access that phishing site anymore.

https://github.com/StevenBlack/hosts (scroll down a bit to see many different categories hosts files). The one mentioned above isn't on it though, so I've added it by myself.

If you don't know how to do this: How to Edit Your Hosts File on Windows, Mac, or Linux.

Slava Ukraini!
Thanks for sharing it with us!
There are so many mirror/clone websites of Bitcointalk. But this one I'm seeing most often - when I'm searching something on Google with word "bitcointalk", I'm almost always getting bitcointalk.to among the search results, sometimes it show above even original website.
Such clone websites is probably one of the reasons, why there are so many hacked Bitcointalk accounts. Users must be more careful and always double check that they are entering their login details on original websites.
