The coin has arrived safe and sound to the buyer and I have released the funds from escrow to the seller. As both parties are satisfied I am locking this thread. Pleasure doing business  Smiley

LoL too bad, these odd American hours are idiot. Why not speaking in GMT time like 95% of the planet. Well nevermind, enjoy.

International auctions are definitely difficult. I tried to make it as clear as possible with:

Quote
This auction will end: July 10th at 1:00 PM PST

http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/usa/los-angeles

I'll try to use GMT for my next auction so there is less confusion.

Payment has been received to the escrow address I provided and the coin will be shipped out first thing tomorrow morning.

One comment on the time thing: people here are often not using the correct terminology for STANDARD time and DAYLIGHT time: PST vs PDT. Right now is daylight time, not standard time. If you explicitly look up standard time in the US, it would be a relative hour in the past. Then there's the issue of some states not using daylight time (Arizona, Hawaii), and countries that have daylight savings time but do not follow the same schedule.

This should not have been an issue on this specific auction since PDT is later than PST and you linked a clock, but I have commented on this topic on several auctions in the past.

Pro tip: always link a clock or countdown timer. Or use absolute unix time or GMT/UTC time.

All that said, looking forward to the coin!  Tongue

This is the high bid. The auction ended at 8:00PM forum time and the no sniping rule doesn't apply for StarenseN's post because Dazed's was well before the end of the auction.

Congrats dazed, I'll shoot you a PM and we can wrap this up  Smiley

How many of these were made?

If it is silver, what is the gold B made of?

It looks like 491 were made in total over 2 series, with 422 still active and untouched.
It's a solid silver coin with gold plating. Loaded with 10BTC obviously Grin

Be careful with the 'untouched' part.  Smiley

I usually use this site which says there are 226 silver with gold trim: http://www.spotcoins.com/bitcoin/casascius

Correct, it is gold electroplating on a silver coin.

I think the pictures speak for themselves. This is a very nice coin in great condition. Let's see if he's able to successfully scare away other bidders!

Slightly over 48 hours remaining  Smiley

You mean it didn't work, or you don't see it?
Happy to recant my statement if OP has a better picture of the two areas I am talking about.
In the mean time, you're welcome to look at the pictures again.  More specifically the bottom left of the coin.

16.03BTC - Just to get a bid in.    No sniping, so I might not go any higher.

I will stick to this bid even though it was unfortunately removed from the holder and now has what looks like scratches (probably fuzz), dust in the very least, but also (clearly) almost certainly fingerprints on the bottom left of the front of the coin.

I am in Seattle.  I don't believe I need escrow, but will happily use Blazed.

Good luck to all.

Damn you've got some good eyesight  Grin

I bid 16 BTC - Europe

The seller has accepted this bid but has asked that I accept any higher offer for 72 hours so I have changed the title to an auction to reflect this.

This auction will end: July 10th at 1:00 PM PST

http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/usa/los-angeles

Bid increments should be: at least 0.01BTC

No sniping, bids made at the end of the auction will extend the time by 15 minutes.

Shipping is not included and will be negotiated with the winner depending on geographic location and whatever shipping/insurance is desired.

You can be sent to Europe?
what kind of delivery?

Yes, the owner is able to ship internationally. Whatever shipping/insurance you would like can be arranged. The cost of this will be negotiated between you and the seller dependent on the sale price and the shipping method chosen.

This is a 10BTC funded cacascius coin right?
Non graded? Any idea what grade it may get if you have any experience with this or seen this coin in person?

Beautiful coin anyway and quite rare, i have not seen too many of these listed for sale here before, good luck.

The coin is funded with 10BTC, correct. I haven't seen the coin in person so it is hard to predict the exact grade. I think that MS67-68 would be a safe guess. Regardless the value of these particular coins doesn't change very much with the grade that they receive. Thank you  Smiley

The owner is flexible on price so don't be afraid to make an offer! All serious offers will be considered.

I will toss out an offer then... 15BTC

Solid first offer. The owner isn't in a huge rush to sell so I think we will wait to see if there are any higher offers. If you'd like I can let you know if there is a higher offer so that you can have a chance to outbid.

That is the kind way of putting it, much more likely to be an attempt to spam his website URL in any form to gain "authority" in google searches. Anyway, the coin looks beautiful, best of luck selling it.

No need to bring personal drama into this thread, I'd appreciate if the thread was kept on topic. Thank you.

Uberbills lists the owner as bitmarket.io.  Can you provide some chain-of-custody and/or any other history on this coin please...?

Uberbills definitely isn't the most accurate source of information for ownership purposes since it requires no proof to change. Perhaps he marked a large group of 10BTC coins as his and accidentally included this one. I've sent a PM to Bitmarket.io so maybe he can clarify.  Smiley

bitmarket.io is not the owner, so I'm not sure why it was listed as being so - the coin came straight from Mike. I've changed the ownership to be under my name.

I am mediating the sale of this funded 10BTC Casascius Silver with Gold B on behalf of the user XYNACK.

I was contacted by this individual via Reddit and recommended that they would have the best luck selling it on this forum. I have performed my own due diligence and I am confident that this user is in possession of this coin. Feel free to ask any questions or request any additional photos.

This coin is absolutely immaculate and as Mike's profile picture can attest, truly one of the most beautiful and sought after Casascius coins. It has clearly been well cared for and only removed from the capsule to take photos for this thread.

Escrow is naturally expected, I am willing to escrow this deal and hold the funds via Trezor as a non interested third party. Escrow via one of the usual forum escrows is also fine in which case escrow fees will be the responsibility of the buyer. Escrow funds will be released to XYNACK once the deal is completed.

The asking price is: 18BTC

The coin is located in California.

Feel free to make offers   Smiley
