People would regularly offer 16-17BTC no matter the value of BTC, these just very rarely come up for sale.

No they wouldn't, if BTC was $10k no one would offer 16btc for this (a $60k premium). Just like no one is offering 18btc at $1k per BTC.

I think no one is offering because it's a high % premium. If the premium was 1BTC and BTC was 60k, I'd say there would be sales at that price.

Yes, good point.

Ahh, thanks for that education! I suppose we can't fault Mike...the artist's work! Thanks, Blazed.

I think ANACS should re-slab this coin for you. I can't see past that off center BTC. Shit like that pisses me off. Maybe it was an accident, but more likely it was someone not caring about their job, their work.

They line them up according to the hologram not the face of the coin. Blame Casascius for not making that lineup if anyone.

Such a beauty of a coin though.

More brick and mortar coin dealers should be getting into these, these coins command the best premium of almost any coin in existence right now. I went into a local coin shop today and the guy running the shop had only seen pictures of these coins before. I was kind of shocked.

Keep bumpin', maybe consider a Reddit post directing people here. Lot's of new talk given the price of BTC these days.

omg 19 BTC ! it`s a little bit high ...

I don't think it's high at all. Smaller denominations go for the same amount, about 2x the face value, sometimes even more. 19BTC is a completely fair price given how rare that edition is.

Do more research.

Can you elaborate, I really can't find much on the Series 2 coin but would be interested to hear your take on it. I just assumed they were made by Mike and sent unfunded at the time due to the 2FA security and price of Bitcoin.

Edit: this is all I could find, which makes it look legit: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.1982025

Interesting. I didn't know Mike made 50 of the gold 1k coins. I just thought it was 5 and they were funded.

Ohh. Mr know it all about physical coins not knowing something. How bizarre. Fucking wanker you are and anyone who reads this thread will know you been trying to sell your overpriced coins for years with no takers.

Enjoy the bumps.

I just find it fucking hilarious that u are still here bashing the seller and still lowballing the coin. Maybe just move on, get over it and find new coins to lowball on?

Those are unfunded and unofficial cas coins. I consider them replica and counterfeits.

lol, how are they unofficial, replica or counterfeits, Mike made them.

Do more research.

Those are unfunded and unofficial cas coins. I consider them replica and counterfeits. Goat has 2 of the official ones, 1 he sold for $1m. The redeemed 2 are in Saudi Arabia and China. I know because I got in touch with both of the owners of the redeemed 1K BTC gold coins to acquire them.

I agree that the 1k BTC coin is likely the most desired, but unrealistic. Realistically it's the 10BTC silver round w/ gold B as prominently displayed on the casascius homepage and numerous news articles.

You're the last person on earth to talk about being realistic with your misleading titles and super unrealistic prices.

I honestly dont get what the big deal is.  A guy selling his coin with a set price....maybe thats the lowest he will sell it for, most people bend yeah, but I see nothing wrong with sticking to your guns...its not like he's asking 40btc and spamming the goods section, considering I have seen none of them up here with this one being the only one.

LOL, purchase for 25 sell at a loss for 19. Now I can see how retarded you actually are. Now it makes sense that you're still trying to sling your unwanted coins for crazy amounts. You're just retarded.

This is his sales thread and everyone gets you point even though your last one is flawed.  Ive purchased btc with fiat for the sole purchase of buying physicals before. (I wouldnt have purchased the btc just to hold mind you), so if btc was $250 when he bought the cas 10, wouldve cost me $6,250....now that btc is at $750 if he sells it for 19btc, thats worth arount $14k.  Not a bad profit.. you need to know context before you make a judgement.

But again its his sale thread, you dont like his price move on, btw havent seen any for sale in the 15btc range either on here so...

Michail knows his stuff. And happens to have a impressive cas collection and is one of the two people I know with 100 BTC bars.

I also wanna throw out that Goat sold his 1000BTC gold coin for $1m when the price was $830. It was a combination of BTC, Gold, and Cash.

I also have sold 10BTC coins for 19BTC before, and I even purchased them for 25BTC when the price of bitcoin was around $250.

Wow 1000btc, wouldn't be able to trust myself with that one.

For a collector keeping it on the shelf is a wonderful idea, but for someone selling a product having it sit for 2 years is not only bad, its detrimental to future sales of the coin.
Its the same reason people who are selling a house dont leave it on the market for two years. No one wants  to buy that stale old house that everyone was rejecting for the last 24 months or more.

He needs to make an aggressive price drop to renew interest or pull them from the market all together.
But what do I know. Im just Sourgummies.

I agree with having it sit isn't good if you're trying to get rid of it.

I don't think it has any effect on future sales (if anything, it's Great for future sales if the only offering is a higher price).  Anyone could come in and sell for a lower price if they wanted.

A house sitting is only bad if it's vacant.  If I am living in it, then it doesn't hurt, although I agree with concept for houses - Not for collectables.

All that said, I agree with user: zanzibar
It's hard to decide if selling now for a lower BTC price would be more beneficial than waiting.
19BTC a year ago was far cheaper than 19BTC is now.

Example.  Buying a collectible for 10BTC while BTC was at $225 is far cheaper 10BTC while at $740 (time of this post).  It's a mind screw for most people (myself included) when something could have been purchased for BTC or cash.
The difference here is that Casascius was never sold for USD.

Noone ever will pay 19 btc for this 10 btc coin. Bitmarket is just dreaming that he'll get that price. If his coins were fairly priced they would sell, not sit on the shelf for 2+ years.

I wouldn't mind my coins sitting on the shelf for 2+ years if I eventually get that kind of pricing.  In fact, I do keep mine on a shelf that long.
What's wrong with waiting?  It's not like the coin takes up a lot of space.  And, a graded coin doesn't degrade over time.

Yeah, I buy my collectibles with the mindset that I might never sell them, just hand them down to my kids when they are old enough. But my post was more on the paradox of $/BTC value, I mean it's not unlikely that BTC could be in the $10k's range in 20 years when I hand my physical coins to my children. At that point they are worth a lot more in $ value than what the OP is asking for now, however I could also just hold 19btc for 20 years and that would be more valuable than the coin in terms of $.  Hard to determine best time to buy is my point.  Smiley

Off topic a bit, but I'm always interested in high value collectibles, I own several Casascius, all Kialara's, all Titan coins, all Alitin's, and a few others. Considering a potential BTC bull run, do you price your coins based on $ or always in BTC? Do you think it's better to sell when BTC is low, since you are more likely to get more BTC on the premium. I can't imagine if BTC is at $10k (for example), that someone would still pay 19BTC for this, but then again someone might. It's interesting to think about, price of a BTC collectible since you have to consider two different variable values. sorry to derail the thread.

I'd offer 15BTC myself but everyone knows he won't accept that. The premium on these doesn't change very much, they are in low supply and lots of people want them  Wink

Are you kidding me, you sound like a bitmarket shill. He's been trying to sell this for years and no one is willing to pay what he wants because his price is too high. He's living back in the day when btc was super cheap and people were throwing them around like candy. That day has come and gone and he aka you missed your chance at those ridiculous markups.

In order for a deal to occur a price has to be agreed on by the buyer and the seller. No reason to lash out at others.

Yeah I agree but it has been years its for sale an no one is willing to pay his/ (possibly yours ask or even come close.

In the real world we call this supply and demand. Sure the supply is low but the demand is even lower. And that's why he's still sitting on the coin trying to sell it and of course no one is buying because his price is crazy.

Eodguy a shill?  He's been a collector here for awhile.  And as far as the pricing, to bitmarket's defense i dont see many others up for sale.  If there were others sold recently on this forum for much lower prices then your argument might be valid, but when its a sellers market for a certain coin (which the 10 is) then he has every right to ask as much as he can get.

I'll offer 14.25 but that's my top top and I think you should except it.

But it is nice and graded so I'll offer 11.5 btc.

I'll buy the next 100 at that price (ya know, I have a budget to keep).  It's a sexy price.   Wink

Love the video.

any one who is dumb enough to send even a trusted member of the forum 16 BTC without escrow is asking for trouble. Let this be a lesson for everyone PLEASE USE ESCROW!!!  Grin

Not to detract from the matter at hand but isn't an escrow in itself a "trusted member of the forum" at some point you just have to trust _someone_ the escrow is still just another forum user

Anyway, beautiful coin but unfortunately way out of my budget.

Yes an escrow is a "trusted" member.  Most of the time handling escrow transactions is a steady flow of income for the escrow, and they may perform hundreds or thousands of transactions a year. So for them to ruin/destroy/ their reputation over 1 sale (even if it is 19 BTC) wouldn't be worth it for them, as they would never perform another transaction here again, and be flagged in that famous "red" as a scammer.

thanks!

Just a heads up there is an imposter impersonating this seller sending PM's asking for a sale and direct payment so anyone posting in this thread please be careful if you receive a PM from this user bitmarket.org

I also advise anyone that is willing to post negative feedback for this user is a SCAMMER!!

Thanks for the heads up!

As stated in the OP escrow is to be handled by Blazed. No direct payments.

I left him negative feedback. https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/bitmarketorg-911603

Interested in the Power of Bitcoin
Do you think there is a relationship between the price of bitcoin and your value of your coin?  I mean, the last offer, that someone made on this coin, if it still is good, is almost 11K dollars.  If you're the original owner, then you would stand to make a lot of profit.

I would much rather sell a coin at 16 btc at the price now, than the last time you sold one of these for 18 btc.

But, I wish you luck in getting as much as you can for it.  It helps all collectors.

I'll up it to 16 BTC

Still too low =/

Sorry maybe now isn't a good time to sell

Just takes time. Eventually a serious buyer comes along. I've sold 2 of these before for 18BTC+

Its not worth 19 btc dude, that premium that people used to get died back in 2014.

But it is nice and graded so I'll offer 11.5 btc.

lol

Cheesy

I was hoping for a more realistic counter because your ask is absurd.

My asking price is reasonable as I've sold them higher and lower in the past. Anyone serious is always welcome to PM me their offers.

Yup I figured I would try something different. It was recorded with the iPhone 7 and it takes beautiful 4K videos.

Enjoyed the video, great idea. And lovely coin you got there.
Wish I had 19 BTC for it but hopefully someone else does.

Beautiful coin and I love your idea of including a 4k video. I'll definitely be incorporating this into any future sale threads. Best of luck with your sale!  Smiley

Hello folks, I decided to sell off one of my 10BTC Casascius Silver Rounds /w Gold B. It's hands down the most beautiful and most desired physical bitcoin by Casascius. The physical face of bitcoin to the world.

It's in absolute mint condition. It was never removed from it's air-tight capsule since I received it 4 years ago. I did send it in to have it graded to have it preserved in a very durable plastic shell. I consider the grade irrelevant as it's in mint state as received from Mike and from what I've discovered is that ANACS doesn't take the grading process for these seriously.

Shipping is free via USPS priority mail (registered) to CONUS buyers. International shipping is $50.

Escrow is handled by Blazed.

My asking price is 14 BTC
Open to offers

Below are a couple pictures, but what I really recommend you see is my 4K recording of the 3 coins I am selling, including this beauty. You'll get a better view of the details and their cool hologram.
