I disagree. I've had inquiries via PM from other parties who have not yet bid, and there is nothing wrong with watching an auction be extended and taking your time to make a decision of your own.

Inquiries in a PM are not bids and should not be thought of as so. If they wanted to bid they had their chance up until 8:00pm. They did not bid so they should not be considered as bidders since they did not bid.

I literally planned my mothers birthday dinner a hour after the end of this auction so that it would not interfere with it. Unfortunately im going to have to bail out of this auction because of this rule. I do not have a means to bid while at dinner with her and I would not insult her by doing so anyways.
Unless you would be willing to extend the end of the auction to be at 10:30pm? A hour and a half should be enough time for me to finish up and get back to bid. Otherwise all I can do is bid before leaving and hope for the best.

Any future newbie bids will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, requiring either proof of funds, use of an escrow to hold the funds prior to bidding, or at minimum some kind of vouching for the newbie by an established forum member.

Wow that is quite the premium. I don't think I know of any other coins that fetch a 14.5BTC premium, or even have a crazy seller that is asking that large of a premium. It is really too bad that I did not get actively involved in bitcoin around a year earlier then I did.
We all wish we got involved in bitcoin earlier haha, unless you are satoshi everyone feels the same way. Its a real shame though but be thankful you aren't getting in when its $10k and some of mainstream tards are feeling good about their 2 bitcoins.
Most of them never sold for over 10BTC though...only Nubbins can get that high of a price lol.

The last 2 I sold were for 14 each, both sold in the last 3 months, private sales
The 2 before that both cleared ~10 each, possibly the start of the year (hopeless with timings ...)
Didnt get as much as I could have for the 4 I sold before that, a few folks got bargains !
Wish I'd gotten a full roll of 12, rather than 'just' 9 (and the roll made up with s3s)

I believe the roll price was 12 coins for 16 BTC, plus shipping. The shipping rate on individual coins was hefty and they cost more too.
