Looks like the spot is on the coin itself. I do have 2 though so winner of the auction will get their choice. There also is some discoloration around the edge as seems to be the case with all of these that were left in their original case.

I could be mistaken, but I believe there was an ongoing thread about how the original capsule actually degrades the rim of the coin's finish over time, but I could not find it... MJ?  Huh

There you go. It looks like the capsule has degraded every single coin in that thread including mine. Wish I'd known before.
