The fact that a central organization controls the ripple supply makes it the most centralized decentralized currency ever 
i dont see this as a big problem. the initial release of currency needs to be disseminated some how. Granted i like bitcoins model better in this respect but this one aspect is not a deal breaker. this super early initial phase of the currency will be quickly forgotten if it lasts any length of time.

who ever bids the most xrp (ripples) with in say a week wins the .25 bitcoin. GOOD LUCK!
