Those are 2 very nice pieces you have won there congrats.  These are likely to command a mint in the coming years and as we get through a couple halving events.

Thanks, like most of my collection, I'll likely not sell them but rather gift them to my children, at which point I hope BTC will be a mainstream store of value!

Very well said!  I fully agree.  Smiley

btw, "bobbyclee" is my new username.  In most cases, I'll be posting from that personal account in the future.
Official BTCC events/auctions/announcements, will obviously still come from "BTCC_Official" account.

I'm posting here as "BTCC_Official" so that people know that "bobbyclee" is indeed me:
Bobby Lee, Co-founder and CEO of BTCC.

thanks,
Bobby

Thanks Bobby, I'll be looking out for your other auctions in the future.

Thanks friend, appreciate it. I'm assuming others can confirm BTCC_Official as having come through on shipping items for completed auctions, etc..

I can't personally say for auctions; however, for their store, I have purchased quite a bit and trust they will deliver.  I did want the auction since they would be able to ship directly to me as opposed to having a re-shipper from outside of the USA.
I believe your 30+ coins are safe from a scam (assuming you pay them directly (not to some random newly created account for the scammers that may try to get you)).

Yes, that is why I bid, only way for me to get these in the States. I've asked them to email me directly from their BTCC email to confirm.

I am willing to vouch for both BTCC_Official and bobbyclee. You won't have any issue, and will receive your items. Congrats again Wink

Thanks, appreciate it, can never be too cautious with these amounts.

Possibly better for me, in this case, if the auction restarts.  Smiley

It won't, I have plenty of BTC and I'm a collector. Smiley

I can hope.  Smiley

Just got to a computer.
Have to admit that I wouldn't have gone that high anyway.

I would have bet TwinWinNerD would have taken it.  Good thing I don't gamble.

Congrats Zanzibar.

Of course, if he doesn't pay, then TwinWinNerD highest bid before Zanzibar started is:
Product A: 15.9
Product B: 15.6

Possibly better for me, in this case, if the auction restarts.  Smiley

Also, have to admit that I thought Prod B would have gone higher cause of the loaded number of bitcoins.  I like the engraving of Prod A though.

Sorry for this!

Editing is shown on the timestamp and it does in fact NOT change the timestamp!

PS: Gonna edit to post to demonstrate. Just hover over the timestamp to see it.

PPS: forgot, if edited in the first 5 minutes, it doesn't show up as edited at all. but timestamp remains

Just to be clear... I am not accusing anyone of wrong doing.  While watching, I could clearly see that you were trying to make your bid valid as other bids came in.
I'm sure we can all agree on that easily.

5 min rule - correct, doesn't show.  This is why I said it could have only been an issue is someone bid slightly after the 15 min rule as the real time wouldn't be correct after a potential edit.  Everything self corrected though as the price continued to climb.

I MUST leave now, so can't bid.  Good luck.

Only two edits to price.  He changed the amount in order to correctly bid above prior bids, but in editing, the post keeps the original time.  It would have only changed the outcome if someone bid slightly outside the 15 min posting time.

For this auction, so far, yes, it is completely fine.

Agreed, nothing shady has happened from what I can see.

That said, good luck gents, but I am out.

I didn't edit, I deleted the wrong bid (where both bids were invalid in fact). And only after I submitted 2 valid bids.

Appears that the thread should have been locked from edits to keep the time frame correct for bids that are being changed after submitting.  Smiley
Note for the next time an auction is done.  Smiley

Didn't see any edited bids myself, but agree that they should be locked.

Thank you both for the good suggestions; we'll look into how to do that properly for auctions next time.

Just to clarify, the Product A (block 420,001) also has a very special "coinbase" message that's mined into the block:
Welcome to 12.5 BTC blocks! BTCC & Bitcoin Forever!

This "Forever" message is both directly hard-coded into the coinbase header of the block, as well as being laser etched onto the back of the physical Titanium block.

This this for the coinbase message:
https://blockchain.info/tx/78d6bcc28342c7ce5af4a72d35b1fc48a60b18dbd99c9ba9701f96430cc5399e

Very special and unique!  Welcome to the era of 12.5 BTC blocks.

I'll update the OP to clarify this.

Someone bid on it before you lose your chance!

Auction ends in less than 5 hours!

Not a lot of interest over here, 15 BTC starting bid is to much... You should have start at the block value. Anyway good luck.

The reason we start at 15 BTC is because we sell regular Bitcoin Blocks at that price on our store.

We figure that some of you may specifically want these 2 blocks, which is why we're putting it up for auction.
(If it doesn't auction, then we'll keep it!  Smiley )

Not getting much interest here Huh

Would love that Block 420,001 - but I feel 15 BTC is a little too much to tie up right now. Good luck to everyone Smiley

It is pricey.... But who can say that they own the block right after Bitcoin's Second Block Halving ever!
It's a piece of Bitcoin history that you can literally hold in your hands!

You literally cannot buy something like this even if you had planned for it.

And together with block 440,001, it's the perfect pair of Bitcoin History for 2016.  Smiley

Remember, you can always be rich... and now, you can be famous.
