Found this old post while searching for antique coins as a gift for a friend. Are these still up for sale?

Hey,

no, they have been sold, to someone on the forum. I do have others for sale. Do you have an idea what he would be looking for? And what is the price range? Pm me  Smiley

Greets, Hank
I have really nothing in mind as of now. Probably something antique and memorable would do. As for the price, I'm still canvassing and am open for offers.

I like the coins, I have one of them actually!  To throw it out there- am definitely interested in a NGC graded Roman Republic Military Mint Caesar Elephant denarius ( the infamous one).

Thanks for the interest. A buddy of mine found a Caesar elephant coin while metal detecting, on a site where Caesar supposedly won a big battle against the Celts, in northern France. The actual battlefield has never been found yet, so it was a great find and we are still searching the fields around that one, to find more goodies. Anyway, he does not want to part with his coin, which is understandable. Its a great coin though!

Are you a fellow pisan too?  Man I would lost it to be able to make a find like that..I would never ever give it up! I also would never buy that coin ungraded, can be almost impossible to spot fakes at times (maybe not for an expert like you in the field..but I know coin shop guys can struggle with it even).

Whoops just saw the find was in France...read quickly !
