Friedcat will send a confirmation email after the transfer is complete.  I have had transfers take up to 5 days.

how do we know when the transaction is officially over? Will we get an email response from friedcat explaining he's completed the moves and we should see it updated in the shareholders spreadsheet?

I was surprised at the low final auction price (got mine for 2.79), but that's not the seller's fault is it.

Auctions are supposed to be the most efficient way to sell stuff. Not sure the seller got full value here, but still, sure he's selling for a lot more than he paid for them

I messaged before the auction ended that I would "buy 5 up to 2.85, if needed." I assumed this would up my bid to that limit as the price rose, but misunderstood your message.

2) I initiate the share transfer procedure with friedcat, and ask him to CC all of us.
3) Friedcat confirms the transfer to us directly
4) Funds released to you.

If you want to use escrow start making arrangements with JohnK and direct him to this thread.

But as has been mentioned on several other threads, the escrow isn't really necessary because:

I can prove I own the shares, you can check the signature. 
You can prove you sent payment.
friedcat controls all of the shares anyway, I have no direct control over them, so he transfers them to you.

That being said I completely understand wanting to use escrow, as I said above just contact JohnK to set it up.
