why do these go for much more over value than the 0.5's that recently went for 0.53?

here is a breakdown of casascius coins that have been redeemed or unopened.

[/quote]

Not a lot of people like the brass simple as that.  Buyer demand.  And second is scarcity most people who collect cas coins have the brass half that's like the entry cas coin.  Also most coiners are silver bugs too, so it hits the twofer with the silver tenth.

This particular photo is a bit misleading due to the fact that there's a big difference between the brass 1BTC and the silver BTC as the silvers in general are much rarer and in higher demand. There's not nearly as many silvers 1BTC coins. I believe the number is said to be 1300 all silver plus an additional 700 silver with the golden/gilted B. So 2k of the 15K+ numbers listed above!
Hope that helps some!

They are getting higher premiums than 0.5 brass cas possibly cause they are the cheapest Casascius coins you can buy loaded...are made of silver...rarer and more visually appealing as well.

this is gonna go for some ridiculous price

Probably high because all of the new people here bidding. Even if only 15 people place 1 bid this will be at 0.25 or so

The last one of these that sold openly which was pretty recent I would say maybe 6 months or so. Went for 0.35ish btc right?

I think scarcity plays a role. According to Ahonen only 764 of these were made in 2013 compared to 2,959 of the 0.5's. They aren't as widely held as Ahonen notes that:

Quote
These coins were only sold in rolls of 20, meaning they only ended up in relatively fewer hands

That is backed up by the fact that the silver dimes don't show up at auction here that often and have always sold for a greater than usual premium. Good luck with the auction!

That is easily the fugliest cas I have ever seen auctioned up in the last couple of years.

I would say it's kind of like a girl with a nice body, but she has a butterface most people will still hit it Cheesy

0.11BTC

edit:
where and how was this stored?  it seemed to have been handled quite a bit....  please don't put anything on the coin to try and "clean it up"
it was stored in one of those aftermarket slabs when I bought it. I have kept it in coin capsule since then. As I mentioned I wouldn't want to devalue the coin.

One original silver Casascius 0.1 BTC physical coin, minted in 2013 made of .999 silver
Fully funded with an intact and sealed hologram on the back (1AgxK9K1) The coin is not graded and has some pink reddish toning on the front side of the coin as shown in picture. I am sure it could clean up well with some tarnish remover or something like that, but I dont want to devalue the coin so I never messed with it
Coin address: 1AgxK9K1hR4Ht13uRuk6bWwJ3NtJCH2PuH

If I butchered this post my apologies it is my first auction I have posted on here
