I sacrificed this sock-puppet trust to avoid selling to the bid price I don't prefer. Gotcha guys.

Just a friendly suggestion.

If you have a suggestion, please let me know. What would you do right now?
IMO, the best solution would be to allow the auction to resume with TMAN being the high bidder @ 0.005 BTC with at least 2 days left in the auction.

This would restore everyone to a situation that would apply if the new person had not bid, or if you had rejected his bid.

I don't think it would be fair to you to be forced to sell to TMAN at 0.005 because there was a lot of time left, and someone else may have outbid him.

Unless you are very confident you will receive additional bids, I would generally not accept bids without a deposit that increase the price as much as it did. An exception may be if you believe the person to be trustworthy enough to honor their bid, and have a good reason to do so. I think you accepting these kinds of bids without a deposit is going to result in you being harmed one way or another.

In the real world I ran an auction house. True standards unless otherwise stated at the beginning of the auction, the right move is to sell to TMAN.
My actual advice would be in the future if you are not going to take a deposit from new bidders, put terms in the auction that specify what actions will be taken if this occurs again. Be it sell to runner up or re-open the bidding.....

^ Winning bid. I've contacted zeto but haven't heard back yet.
If you wish to keep the appearance of integrity in your auctions, it might be suggested to not accept bids from a newbie who hasn't posted in ~a year without first obtaining a deposit.

This is even more the case when the newbie bids 20x the bid increment over the last bid.

I considered declining his bid, but chose not to do so due to various reasons. Most important reason was that his account is almost 3 years old. His bid is worth around $150. Not really worth the deposit hassle. All in all, I consider his bid as valid as any others, for now.
I am not one to tell other people how to conduct their own business. Given your past history regarding auctions I found on your trust page, I would be especially cautious about even the appearance of shady behavior. If you aren’t careful, no one will want to bid on your auctions, no matter the item for sale.

I was a little suspicious when I saw this post

If he doesn't pay, something will be arranged, probably a new auction.

Does that mean:-
1. The auction will start again from the beginning
2. TMAN will get it
3. Chance will be given to others to overbid him

He hasn't been online for 4 days. I give him 1 week more to pay for the domain. If he doesn't pay, something will be arranged, probably a new auction.

Hope isn't the same case here as Saltyspitoon mention in his trust summary "User does not honor their auctions, and self bids to get out of having to sell an item at a price they don't like."
