Yea..... another shitshow Denarium auction...... this should be interesting.  Will your insiders be able to big backwards again??  I just think all bidders should be aware of the tactics you allow for "early investors" Wink

Good luck with your shitshow auction.

can you explain to a newbie like me please?

You can bid under the highest bid incase the winner doesnt pay right?

Yes, that is correct. We have had zero cases that the winner (or winners) of the auction does not pay. We wanted to make it clear that if it is not paid in a reasonable time, we can then offer the product to the second-highest bidder.

We have basically had no issue with the auctions until the last auction to which anonymousminer is pointing. There was some obscurity about the price range of the product and for some persons, it seemed to be "ridiculously high", "astronomical bid" or "shill bidder". It did not help at all that our rules were unequivocally stating that bidding a new lower bid would invalidate your previous bids.

it was an embarrassing loophole in the rules that no one had previously used in that way. That rule was only used in the multi-product auctions.

Despite all the explanations we have removed that rule so it is not possible anymore. What comes to the "shill bidders", we have asked what would be the best measure to eliminate them and are open for any proposals to be implemented. Would it be merit, post count, member status ( Hero Member, legendary, etc.) as we do not want to rule out too many people? Some auctions in the collectibles section have no rules at all in the description.

We have also considered auction platforms to tackle the issues, but there are some downsides in these too.

Hundreds of auctions monthly in this section go off without a problem..... you guys are just incompetent and you let your "early investors" get away with shit that would never fly in any other auction on here.  You also allow shill bidders to drive your prices up...... funny how none of your "early investors" or shill bidders showed up to my denarium auction.    Maybe you missed it..... these were the replacements YOU provided when a refund was requested!!  See denarium customer service and quality control for yourself below.

p.s.  I had multiple products in that auction.  No problems in the auction I held.  Once again, denarium just is incompetent!

Note: Remember that the second place might be worth bidding also. If the winner is not able to pay his bid for some reason (e.g., we all die someday)

What safeguards do you have in place for this auction that will identify a failed winning bid vs a shill bidder?

I’m sure no one wants to see a slew of unverified “newbie” bids artificially pump up the auction price only to see something like “sorry the winner is unable to pay their bid” and now the runner up is stuck with the inflated price, right?

I see that you wrote:

we will offer the coins for the next highest bidder

Keep in mind, you can offer the coins to the next highest bidder, but the bidder may not want to pay that now inflated price.

We will reserve the right to reject bids, even days after the bid is made. If bids are rejected for any reason, the next bids in line that didn't win initially, will come into play and will have a chance to buy the auction item.

I hope you mean DURING the auction and not afterwards?

Good luck with your auction.

Thanks!

The last auction some "early investors" in Denarium placed a bunch of ridiculously high bids to turn everyone off and stop them from watching and bidding.  Shortly before the end of the auction..... those same bidders backed their bid down to a tiny amount over the next highest bid.  Denarium allowed this...... but it was "ok"...... they were  "early investors"..... and my personal favorite comment, "there was no rule against it"  Roll Eyes

edit:
REALLY??  You need a rule in an auction that your highest bid stands as stated??  It makes them in on the scam or just incompetent..... either way, I wouldn't spend a single Satoshi with this joke of a company!

Package of the coins

We deliver the coins in a clear coin capsule that is all packed inside a case. You will also receive the leatherette case with keys.

General information
You are ONLY bidding for the products itself, not the bitcoin value inside the products. There is no bitcoin value. We are auctioning these products as empty. The "empty" coins can easily be loaded with bitcoin value by the customer himself/herself, however.

The denomination of these coins is a custom value. If you want them as loaded, you can fund them by yourself using our database denarium.com/database.

The auction price includes VAT (EU customers). Duties and taxes may apply depending on your country. The buyer is responsible for the possible duties and taxes and customs clearance.

Shipping cost

Free of charge worldwide! The value of this is around 30 € on average, depending on the location, so keep that in mind when bidding. Smiley

Shipping date

The coins are pre-assembled. The estimated shipping date is within a week from the end of the auction. Once shipped, DHL delivers quickly. P.O. boxes and parcel lockers are not allowed.

How to bid

You can bid for any amount. The bidding format is "0.2" which means "I'm bidding 0.2 bitcoins". The auction is conducted by using at most 3 decimals. So you can bid "0.211" but DO NOT bid "0.2111". Bid prices must be evenly divisible by 0.001

So if I were bidding 0.2 BTC, I would post "0.2".

Note: Remember that the second place might be worth bidding also. If the winner is not able to pay his bid for some reason (e.g., we all die someday), we will offer the coins for the next highest bidder. For example: if someone makes an astronomical bid, you can still bid more than the second biggest bid, and you are yet able to win if we have to offer the article for the next highest bidder.

Auction rules

- All bid prices must be evenly divisible by 0.001
- If two people bid at the same price, the person who bid first will be first in line to win the auction
- The winner of the auction has 2 days to pay the auction amount
- Bids are considered invalid and will be ignored if they do not specify clearly the price of the bid
- The winner has 48 hours to pay the full auction price.

We will reserve the right to reject bids, even days after the bid is made. If bids are rejected for any reason, the next bids in line that didn't win initially, will come into play and will have a chance to buy the auction item.

Important: Auction payments should ONLY be paid through a CoinPayments link that we send to the winner. Do not, under any circumstances, make payment to a Bitcoin address sent by PM.

At the moment, we will not deliver these products to India, Russia, and North Korea.

Note: If you win the auction, but have limitations to send private messages to us, please use the email address [email protected] to deliver your shipping details.

If you don’t want to send your address through Bitcointalk private message, then you can also use the Privnote service https://privnote.com/#.

Good luck!
