If you win the auction, you can pay to the seller on-chain, but to place a bid, you need to pay 21 sats LN invoice.

It's shipping from Europe (the Netherlands). I'm trying out the Plebeian Market platform so bids can only be placed there. You can login using any Lightning wallet but your wallet doesn't need a balance (so just download any of the suggested wallets and scan the QR). Bids can be paid both on-chain and on Lightning.
