Not looking to buy this coin myself ... but ...

If it can help anyone out here, I am pretty close to Reading at least once a week. I could always do a pickup on behalf of someone else (and then ship UPS express to whoever).

Cheers nutters.. my offer then will be for you to meet MN at an arranged time and I make the bank transfer whilst he is with you and collects the coin..

1.1BTC in sterling at time of deal.. PM me if you want to take me up on it. offer stands for 24 hours

I would take a complete pass on this auction, that's just me.   Good luck

Can you elaborate why? Because you're not local to my area? Don't want a physical bitcoin? Don't do escrow? Because I'm new and you think it's a trap somehow? Let me know and hopefully things can change for the better.

He's a troll that has to voice an opinion on everything. Just ignore it..  Wink

I wish you all the best with this auction. I'm pretty sure that nobody would be stupid enough to give a random newbie their ID.

Thanks for the tip, and to minerjones for the escrow suggestion. I didn't think asking for ID was stupid, I'm just trying not to fall prey to scammers. Meeting in person would be ideal.

no one here will send you ID.. that is just a silly request. the safest way to transact is with an escrow and a trusted 3rd party to receive the goods, confirm they are as sold then to instruct escrow to release.

this protects buyer and seller.

I'm all for buyer/seller protection. Using an escrow is a great idea. Would you pay them/we split the fees in that case? Does it fall to the escrow service to pay for postage to you?

Also, I checked bitstamp and they don't give a BTC/GBP rate. What about using XE? http://www.xe.com/currencytables/?from=XBT

You can dictate who will pay the escrow fees, most time the buyer pays if they elect they want to use escrow.  Easiest way to be safe as everyone else said.  Just use one of the more respected escrow here like minerjones then you will be able to sell your coin.  Sending id's to random people on the Internet is a surefire way you won't sell your coin, and really that can be faked so I would stick to escrow.  Good luck on your sale.

That is not at all bad but do understand that no one will ever share their id over internet and if they are using Escrow

Minerjones has escrowed so many deals that this cas is nothing Smiley

Just use escrow and let the buyer pay you after Escrow gets the coin
but shipping 1 btc cas at this time when prices are so high and almost everyone knows of it, i very risky- especially shipping it to another continent.

Hi folks, I tried to sell my coin on eBay but they deleted the auction and I was recommended this is the place to come.

Photos of my coin are here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/hrvy135lzcad0pm/AAB5sum6xreDW3k5Mx3D9wMea?dl=0

It's loaded with 1 BTC: https://casascius.uberbills.com/?address=16eH23PYsGd9XDyQChKeeDxgTnrG5pQEUg

I'm looking to cash out, so the winner of the auction will need to email me a scan/picture of their photo ID with a codeword, stating that they want to buy the coin for £x cash that they will BACS/CHAPS to my account. I can then special delivery the coin to that address and supply proof of postage/tracking/delivery. The coin will be videoed going unopened into the parcel and handed over at the post office, so there will be no possibility of tampering. The money must then be transferred. Failure to pay will result in a court claim (https://www.gov.uk/make-court-claim-for-money), which is why I require the photo ID and email stating the intention to buy the coin.

I'd be happy to meet in person around the Reading area, or discuss details on the phone with any potential winners.

I know I'm a noob here, so any recommendations/advice on selling this coin will be gratefully received. If I'm breaking any forum rules please let me know so I can correct my post.

1.1BTC in £ on the day the coin is received based on Bitstamp rate. You ship to a trusted 3rd party in the UK then I will make an instant bank transfer once the coin is received and verified.

- EDIT... no ID fella.. you are dreaming about that.. the above are my terms if you want a deal
