Can any of these coins be used today? Or do they belong to governments that are no longer? I wish you posted a description of each coin because I do not know what any of them are

These coins are old coins that are no longer in use today. In my opinion that's the point in collecting: preserving something because of its historical and esthetic appeal. I think it makes not so much sense to offer coins that are still in use today, because these coins are abundantly available.

I did not compile a list, because of the significant time required to look up and describe 12 x 12 different coins. I think you can easily identify the coins from the pictures provided. Instead of investing time for a list I chose a low starting bid to let the free market decide.

Edited to add: if I had more skill and time I would make a line of physical bitcoins that take old coins like this and converts them to BTC, digging out a spot for a private key and overlaying the Bitcoin amount. There is actually a long history of countries reusing old coins in this way and it would look awesome.

Yeah that's definitely an interesting thought. From the past to the future. Smiley

From a quick glance they are all currencies or countries that no longer exist, which is what makes coins like this great. Which would you rather have: a 2012 USA penny, or a 1922  Czechoslovakia Korun?
