The question about funding was never answered because as the listing stands the coins are un funded. If the appropriate buyer requested the coins be funded by the creator from his vanity wallet that could be arranged but that's a topic for an offline discussion with the buyer. I will be having a call with Natty tomorrow night as I return home from my buisness trip and we will discuss the offers and reply accordingly. We do appreciate everyone's feedback and we can't wait to get the average collector versions ready to be distributed to all that have expressed interest.

Thanks for the information, it sounds like a lot of work went into the design and I hope the future owner will appreciate all the time and effort.   Smiley

I'm looking forward to getting one of the less limited pieces as I don't think my offer for these would suffice.

We haven't rejected any offers yet😀

Zepher I have been MIA for a few days and Natty and I did not have an opportunity to discuss your offer, but if it is officially withdrawn no hard feelings. I have just been tied up with work and its been about a week since Natty and I last had a chance to discuss the coin sale and this is a decision we both gave to agree to I hope you understand that.

As Og had mentioned a lot of hours were put into the creation of the glass, the custom wood frame and the full size artwork and to those looking to just buy the coin without taking into account the time and collectable factor of what we are offering I think the regular run of the coin will be the best ways for the non collectors to get in on this amazing piece.

I am an avid collector of Crypto Collectables and I have a rather extensive collection. I had mentioned to Natty if we didn't get something I considered a fair value for it then I would love to add it to my Private collection.

No hard feelings either way, mindtrip Smiley I felt my offer was maybe considered too low and had been ignored, hence me retracting it. If not, then I apologise for the misunderstanding. My reasoning for thinking this is because during both auctions numerous members asked one simple question, which was not answered, while other questions were. This question was: Do these coins have any amount loaded on them? The answer to that question was easy to see when I checked the addresses of both coins, and found zero balance for either LTC or BTC. The fact remains, you guys could have taken the time out to answer this, when time was found to answer other questions. Anyway, let's put that aside..

I can appreciate that a ton of time, effort and money went into the creation of these coins and accompanying items, so I do understand the reasoning for your high starting prices for them in the auctions. The fact that you are hoping for a large figure for these coins, to bring down the cost of the regular versions, also makes some sense. Sadly, as we all know, the market is pretty stagnant at the moment, though it is showing signs of recovering, which is great news. That said, 2.5 BTC for an unloaded coin is a lot more than most users would be willing to pay right now whilst the $/BTC value is as high as it is - this works out to ~$1,830 per coin, which is a lot to any collector, hardcore or not.

I understand why the price is high, I just personally think that 5 BTC for both is unattainable right now, though I would love for someone to come in and offer that, and to prove me wrong Smiley

If my offer of 2 BTC for 00 and 01, with the artwork and polyhedron is something you will seriously consider, then have a discussion amongst yourselves, and give me a shout. Maybe we can work something out. Smiley

No problem, I wasn't ignoring your bid, I just didn't have time to process its affect and talk with Mindtrip about it. I purposefully gave the window to Friday because any accepted offer takes some crunching on the back end to develop a unit price 50 coin run. We are limiting it to 50 and want to keep it affordable, while not losing a lot of BTC doing it Grin

Not a problem NLC, as stated above I do understand your reasoning for the pricing. I am just not able to stretch to anywhere near 2.5 BTC each for these.

Cheers guys Smiley Hope you get a better offer than I am able to make, I really do!

Thanks!

I'll offer 2 BTC for both 00 and 01, along with the accompanying artwork and polyhedron.

That is, 2 BTC - for both coins, along with the extras that come with each coin.

This offer only applies to both - I am not interested in obtaining just the one.

Thanks for your consideration either way Smiley

No comment towards my offer then? I thought it was a pretty reasonable opening offer. Obviously not.

Withdrawn. No hard feelings Smiley Good luck with the sales of these 2 beauties.

We went through some trial and error with the glass. We had a prototype where a sample coin was blown directly into the glass but it was too risky as the silver cracked along the edges. The glass took about a month to blow once we locked down the final design.

The drawing started in April and matured the design through may and added color through June. I imagine it was 80 hours of work.

When I originally saw the glass image, I wondered if the coin was somehow blown into the piece.  Cool that you tried it.  I actually have a few hundred hours of glass blowing experience.  I started buying silver coins at pawn shops to break off small pieces to use in order to "fume" the glass and give it a color changing effect.  I would have been too worried about a metal/glass explosion to try to put a silver coin inside.  Smiley

I think the "80 hours" of work on the art piece is what people don't take into account for unique pieces like this.  It's easy to look at a drawing and say it isn't worth the cost, but imagine commissioning someone to spend 80 hours creating artwork for your coin...  Something tells me it would cost close to the original asking price for this piece.  While I'm not a big art fan, I definitely see the value there.

Is there a baseline for a "serious offer" so we don't throw one out that is too low?

Sure thing, but it's not the easiest question. To put it in perspective, the 5Btc we were asking doesn't even cover the cost to have the die made. And it takes half of that more for setting up a run of any quantity of coins through the mint.

Can you give any guidance as to the number of man hours that went into the creation of the artwork and glass pieces?

Auctions Closed.

We're currently taking public offers for SN 00 / SN 01 / the art / the glass or any combination thereof through Friday, 2 December @ 23:59:59 EST. Escrow and shipping are assumed by the buyer. Offers can be added, deleted or modified until this time. Apologies for unconventional means of dealing these items. The buyer will not be on the hook until the funds are secured in escrow.

We'll consider each serious offer in order to achieve an attractive price point and definite quantity for the forthcoming run for the community. If none of the offers make financial sense, we'll keep the items for ourselves and move forward.

We anticipate the order will take place in the next week or two. We are limited in ordering flexibility due to the "low" amount of silver in the run and have to piggyback on other 5oz coin projects the mint is undertaking. All other details of the run will be provided at that time.
