Don't forget preev.com can show BTC in a multitude of Fiat values.

Most trades of BitCoins to Fiat in the Currency Exchange section are done in USD (be careful dealing with PayPal) and, for a while now, AUD to USD has been hovering at around 0.75 so you can just multiply the USD value by four and divide by three to get a rough estimate in your head of the price (or the other way around for AUD to USD conversions)

Given the NZD is *almost* at parity, the same rough calculations apply.

.....Im new to bitcoin but this seems a bit too user friendly...

So you're complaining that it is user friendly? lol

If you don't like Multibit, try Electrum. It is also a 'lite' wallet just like Multibit (means you don't need to download GBs worth of blockchain data to use the wallet).

Not sure if it shows prices in AUD though.

Hey,
None of the exchange rate providers in Multibit Hd have AUD currency.
There is Open Exchange rates but that needs a api input.
Can someone help out? Or suggest a better wallet? Im new to bitcoin but this seems a bit too user friendly...
