If anything happens will it affect only bitcoin or other coins to doge,wth,ltc...etc

How is it going to affect the other coins/currencies, when they are using different chains? There will be no direct impact. But the indirect impact will be huge. If the exchange rates of Bitcoin crash, then the prices of these alts are going to crash even more (perhaps with the exception of Litecoin).

Normally, the drop in the price of Bitcoin will affect the price of every other altcoins, and which might even lead most coins out of the crypto market.

You may see many speculation thread and bitcoin discussion thread which speaks the same thing. Then in gambling discussion we don't need to discuss about this thing. According to me it will never affect the ethereum coin alone due to people move eth based smart contracts.

I think this is really needed to be discussed here too because mostly gambling site is using btc and most of the gambler is playing using their btc instead of altcoin. And I believe if this speculation happens altcoin will sure down too since the main coin of crypto is btc so everything that have anything to do with will aslo affect for sure. No wonder people are selling their coin right now

If anything or something bad happens upon the event on August 1st, of course Bitcoin is the main thing that will be affected. Though altcoins are also affected, mostly it will be on Bitcoin. The main effect will be the price, if it turned out to be bad, bitcoin's price will surely to come down. The price of altcoins will follow since their price are dependent on Bitcoin.

Altcoins are already unsafe and with the 1st august they seem to be more vulnerable for sink conditions. Here is the what will happen story:- people mostly trust bitcoin and with that trust they are currently holding all the money in bitcoin form. The bitcoin has already started falling due to shaky market of it. In this case, I'm doubtful that people will even trust any altcoins to invest on or put the stakes on. They would rather convert the money into fiat type and keep aside for future reinvestment.

If this topic is only about the bitcoin then it is better to start it on bitcoin discussion or economics. By the way you can ask about gambling related question in regards of 1st August at here.

The changes obviously will be happening to bitcoin but I think whatever happens will have a knock on effect to all cryptos in terms of attitudes, belief etc, the value of altcoins will be affected as usual by where bitcoin goes.

The fact that we put this topic to gambling meaning it really was associated to gambling because we are putting stakes to our bitcoin here, to win or to lose.

Literally, the happenings on August 1st is primarily will affect only bitcoin but due to some "linked" or "speculations", price of others altcoins will also have a noticeable price movement due. This is best proof that no other cryptos can surpass bitcoin because even there is, people can just switched to that crypto but look at now are there any movement in some of the alts? All are having a red days this past weeks.

We have one main coin I.e. Bitcoin to value all other altcoins. If the value of BTC decreases it automatically decreases the price of all altcoins. The problem is not that, if there happens a HARDFORK and there is a split then people and exchanges has to choose a coin, there will be lots of difficulties in that situation.

here is a lot of confusion on “what is going to happen on August 1st?”. Just to clarify, it is not yet confirmed that Bitcoin will split in two on 1st August. There are series of events that will finally decide the fork.Bitcoin network is designed in such a way that it caps the amount of information on its network, meaning the information in each block in blockchain. This was proposed initially to protect it from cyber attacks. Hence, there is a restricted amount of transactions it can process which we call as Block Size Limit.

Affect exactly what? price?  if bitcoin price goes down so does every other altcoins price, look at the market now every altcoin price is down.
btw you should move this thread to bitcoin discussion.

Of course altcoins are not safe from the effect of august 1, but i beleive that it is something  going to be improved in bitcoin network.
It will come to its original price state as soon as the bitcoin holders restart loading bitcoins in their online wallets. N
