Pick up available in Perth? If so what area?

Hello,

Pick up is available through our Kardinya factory (5 mins from Fremantle) or we can deliver locally from $6 AUD.

Will you be paying in BTC?

Would it be cheaper to rock up to the factory with cash?

Need to prearrange a time or business hours is ok?

Hey Mate,

Yeah pull up to the factory anywhere between 9am-3pm Mon-Fri. If you want to come out a little later just send us a text on FB and we should still be here!

Well time for me to restock on OCD Jerky.  Is there any bigger sizes then the 256g bags?  I want to probably get a few kilograms.

Hello,

We do our largest bags in the 128g for superior freshness. With larger orders we combine these to make the weight (256, 512, 1024 etc)  Smiley

Let me talk with them today. Do you have MSRP printed on bags or could I charge my own price depending on location?

How did you go mate? There is no RRP printed on the bags but it is encouraged to maintain within guidelines.

Enjoy the Jerky mate and it wont be too long until the Lime and Cracked Pepper will be out! Which flavour have you found to enjoy most?

I got around to trying all the flavors enough to make a mini-review.  All of the Jerky melts in your mouth and reveals its flavor; it is not very moist prior and it has a good texture.

Original - Great original flavor
Original Heat - Pepper encrusted and tasty, mix of peppers and spices really kicks it up
Cracked Pepper - Peppered with the right amount, tastes like original with peppering
Double Black - Hickory smoked taste

My favorite is the Double Black I'd have to say but I found that mixing the Double Black + Original made for a tasty treat.  I mixed them all at first but found the Original Heat obscured my taste for the next piece so I decided to enjoy that one separately.  I'm looking forward to the Lime and Cracked Pepper as I think mixing that + Cracked Pepper would make for another grab bag.   Smiley

Would you be interested in allowing me wholesale these in the US to local gas stations?

I personally know many owners around my town that would be open for more inventory.

Sounds interesting mate, would you like to initiate contact through our online form? http://www.ocdjerky.com/pages/contact

We can work something out so that you take commission through sales and looks like you would get your free shipping on that 1kg!

Hello Guys!

Bitcoin payments have been implemented into our new online stall http://www.ocdjerky.com/ and are working a treat  Cheesy Theres also %20 on single packs for a week or two  Wink

We have been putting so much hard work in to the business and it feels like we haven't slept the last 6 months. You can see through our Facebook page how amazing the product is and all the awesome feedback! https://www.facebook.com/OCDjerky/

The Bitcoin community has been a blessing by helping us develop our online stall. The community has been my favourite to work alongside. Not only have we developed the business but we have made some great friends and business partners in Australia and across the world.

Our next step is to try and build our online Bitcoin sales. Right now we have great fiat traffic but it is lacking in the BTC department. I am now searching for ways to build this side of the e-commerce.

We are open to suggestions and and will optimise our store to accommodate for the Bitcoin users around the world. What are your thoughts on how to improve the BTC orders? Where should we be advertising or listing our products?

Keep in mind we cant spend too much because our budget is limited!

A goal for 2016 is to become a model Bitcoin business. We want to show others how they can use Bitcoin to increase their business and also become more profitable. By driving adoption we all win!

By mid next year we will have enough data to produce a detailed report on how effective BTC was for our business. By showing the sales, interest on swap earnings and mining contract data we will prove without doubt the effectiveness of cryptocurrency for profitability. Using some basic charts in comparison to fiat, BTC will blow it out of the water!

Hopefully we can generate some buzz out of this and encourage others to follow in our footsteps  Cheesy

What do you think?

Hello friends,

We have been busy!

I had taken a step back from the website development to focus energy on the factory. We are set up for production now and I can return time to the website and community. Many sleepless nights and unexpected challenges! We haven't noticed the forum posts thinking that I had set email notifications for reply's. That is now confirmed so no more delays.

Im re-building the site in Shopify for the ultimate Ecommerce experience. Implementing bitcoin payments has been a breeze with Bitpay. The Shopify tools and apps are very handy. A lot of the suggestions you guys have put forward are now coming to action. Thank you  Wink

At this rate the new site will be live by Tuesday coinciding with our marketing push. It will accept Bitcoin payments smoothly but the forum will always be trading. Theres something magical about forum trades and we sure will look after you guys.

Our "Lime Cracked Pepper" has been sold out and will be taken offline for an Australian summer launch. We know there are some big fans of this flavour but rest assumed the return will be epic!

(Secret project) We have made a great friend in the US over at PEXPEPPERS https://www.pexpeppers.com/ and have developed some small batch jerky using his amazing HOT sauces- SUCH WOW (delicious, delicious, delicious)! As we work together there will be more news to come but if you haven't tried his HOT sauce we recommend you do.

Keep an eye out theres going to be much happening in the following weeks. Our social media campaign will launch and the #ocdjerky hashtag will play a large part in this. If your not following us on https://www.facebook.com/OCDjerky http://instagram.com/ocdjerky and https://twitter.com/ocdjerky check us out!

If you would like some jerky send through the PMs to trade!

Your friends,

Great reviews guys!

We are very pleased to have sent jerky all around the world with everyone completely satisfied with the product. Sharing quality food with good people has always been a passion and it makes us happy knowing that you enjoy OCD with a smile. We will always look after the bitcoin community and we are proud to be apart of it.

Theres some great advice coming in through PMs, emails and posts. Bitcoiners are the nicest people and have helped us optimise our business. Keep your thoughts coming, your helping shape this business!

The shipping advice is well received and you can expect cheaper shipping in the coming months. Right now our focus is on commercial production as we are expanding the jerky factory. The beef is still handcrafted goodness but our kitchen gets much bigger!

We look forward to the coming weeks as bitcoins strength grows and the communities rise.

Happy Bitcoining!

Mine arrived earlier in the week, I just haven't had time to report on it.

There's not much more I can say beyond the few who have posted already - shipping was quick, packaging is excellent (both shipping package as well as the individual jerky packets).  We've only been able to try the double black so far, but it was delicious.  We'll get to the other flavors over the next week or so and I'll report back what we think of them.

So far, extremely pleased with the whole experience.

BTW - in my estimation you should be able to fit 4-6 packs into a small flat-rate USPS box, so if you did want to establish a distribution method for the US you could get that much jerky to anyone within 3 days for about $6 in shipping.  Probably a little less if you use the padded mailers instead of the box.  My offer to rent my garage is still valid... First of all, my english is broke as fuck, so wording my thoughts about things dont go as smoothly as i hope.

Nice to see there are others who have written their experience on the OCD Jerky ™. I couldn't do it better myself.

That's why I am here to write more about everything except the taste. The reason for this is that I never had beef jerky in my life. Now what does this tell you? Their presentation of the product sold me instead of my love for beef jerky.

Onto the rating:

Communication; 10/10: What can I say? Reply from e-mail in less than a day. My first message via reddit was answered within 20 minutes. Their communication is top notch, simple as that. They're kind, understanding and willing to explain everything about their product/company.

Website; 8/10: Design of the website is greatly looking, just perfect. What I can't understand is that when you full on support bitcoin, it takes so long to implement on the website, and still have to manually process all the orders. Big turndown (website wise).
Ordering; 9/10: I was sent an order summary of my order accompanied with a bitcoin address with exact convertion from AUD to BTC, and even the website where they check it. However, they forgot to send me an order shipment confirmation. But i can handle that.
Shipping; 10/10: SHIPPED IN 10 DAYS FROM AUSTRALIA TO THE NETHERLANDS. I couldn't believe it was this fast.  Bubblewrap secured too. Can't complain.
Packaging; 10/10: Best design, period. It's even resealable. Freshness guaranteed.
Taste; 10/10: The taste of the jerky is very powerfull and the meat is perfect. I only tried the original for now, but so far so good! and i can't wait to taste the rest.

If you're hesitating to buy, please just order it. You will be satisfied.

Original : This was definitely a great grade of beef, very tough and chewy like good jerky should be.. The taste was phenomenal.. 9.9/10

Double black (smoked) : Now, i was a bit skeptical about " Double Black " With no idea what the flavor would be like.. Well i assumed the original heat would be my favorite... but Double Black won the fucking show... The Taste..Smell.. The consistency of flavor and smoked dark color... This was definitely made by fucking professionals, and you can be damned sure this is one of the best jerky's in the god damned universe....You'd be a fucking moron for not ordering 12 pounds of this delicious man made beef of the gods, It's as if it was sent straight down from mount olympus by the god Zues himself... straight to your god damned doorstep... 100/10

lime cracked pepper : I've always been a fan of lime flavored snacks, This Zesty/Sour hint of flavor the the Lime Cracked Pepper gives, is definitely a great great recipe. The taste and smell of lime is very pungent and will 100% cause your mouth to water..

Original heat (chilli) : ...Ow... Just... Ow... Spicy..Tough...It's like a kick to the mouth, but the foot is made of grade A Aussie beef..seasoned to the fucking max with hot chilli spices... Just one look at this beef and it will have your asshole tingling...

Cracked pepper. : This was the first flavor i tried out of the package. It definitely got me excited to try the rest of the flavors. I've always been a life long fan of jerky, well hell... Beef in general.. Cracked pepper has always been a personal favorite of mine, The stuff these guys @ OCD Jerky are making.. is just hands down, top notch stuff... Everything they advertise is just so on point... Everything is just perfect... I highly recommend trying this Cracked pepper, you'll definitely love just as much as i did.

ORDER THIS JERKY RIGHT FUCKING NOW, OR ELSE A ROAMING DEATH SQUAD OF HOWLING KANGAROOS WILL GANG BEAT YOU UNTIL YOU DO.

A Review.

My beef jerky arrived, I sent BTC first, no escrow used and they came through.

The packaging: It very nice it is thick paper lined with foil.  As foil is a much better barrier to oxygen then plastic, I expect this to have a very long shelf life.  Once you open the package there is also a zip-loc on top making it resealable.

The beef:  This is not some store bought cheap jerky with stamped flat beef.  This jerky is nice strips of beef, some pieces had some slightly marbling which I do not mind.  All the cut pieces had some good thickness to them.  Very fresh and flavorful.

Original:  I nice medium flavor, taste is similar to a marinated steak with a slight soy sauce flavor. No spicy at all.

Double Black: Similar to the original but with a slight smoke flavor to it and less soy sauce flavor probably due to the smoking.

Original Heat: This taste is mostly the peppers on this one you do taste a slight taste of the beef but the peppers are over powering with taste, while I would consider the heat low to medium it does build as you keep eating.  It is modest enough though most people will not have problems with a few pieces.

Cracked Pepper: This has a good cracked black pepper taste, with the taste of the original in the background.  It has a low heat from the black pepper, but the taste is really good, this is some fresh black pepper.  Even though the black pepper taste is strong there is some flavor from the original following the pepper.

Lime Cracked Pepper: Decent amount lime flavor in this one, enough to give it a little tartness.  The black pepper flavored has been taken down a few notches on this one compared to the Cracked Pepper, although the marinade of the original is still adding to the taste.

Conclusion:  This is high quality beef jerky with very good tastes and much better then I can buy in an of my grocery stores.  I will be ordering more I could easily make a meal out of this.  As far as my top three for my personal tastes. I like; Double Black, Original and Cracked Pepper the most out of the five.

Thanks for reading,
MC

:c Damn.. Can't afford any right now... but payday..hahaha yup..gonna get some on payday hopefully.

You wont say no to a free 5 flavour pack?

(we have 1 more to go out to a bitcoin loving jerky connoisseur)

Will you ship to the USA?

Quote
BTW, in reply to one of the above about shipping to the US, if you guys do make it and garner enough interest, one obvious solution would be to find a US-based distributor.  Most of your goods would probably fit into either a small or medium sized flat-rate USPS shipping box or padded envelope, which are all under $13 anywhere in the US.  Shipping a large amount once overseas and then doing the sending once local will probably be much more cost-efficient in the long run.

I'm in the NorthEast US and have some garage space available for rent if it ever comes to it.... Wink

Yea, i'm in the northwest and would also be willing to assist with Western USA/Western Canada Shipments.
I've had experience with distribution and re-shipping for over 8 years.

Thats a great idea. Once we establish the market it certainly will be an efficient method for distribution. I'll be interested to crunch some numbers on this. I like the offer on the garage depot, its amazing what you can do with spare space!

*We ship worldwide

Your the last down for the 5 flavour pack, congratulations! P.s we will cover shipping Wink

Thats really cool. You guys are all so helpful! Once we get things rolling in the USA we already have some friends to point us in the right direction.

(Were sending out a 5 flavour pack to the two of you. Were also covering shipping)

Theres no more free ones to go but we are doing -%10 for our bitcoiners!

Yea when i was in highschool my mom got really big into opening an online store, And it went well for a long time till her wholesaler went out of business. So i've had tons of experience filling orders, shipping from state to state and from US to Canada.
That was my " chores " at home during highschool lol..

If there are 2 samples left, they could ship both to one of us to save on their end and then we could work out a deal between us if you'd like.

:c Damn.. Can't afford any right now... but payday..hahaha yup..gonna get some on payday hopefully.

You wont say no to a free 5 flavour pack?

(we have 1 more to go out to a bitcoin loving jerky connoisseur)

Will you ship to the USA?

Ooh, I'd love to get a sample pack, and would even pay for the shipping to the US.

I would buy so much of this if shipping to the USA was cheaper  Cry

international shipping price is really high its even not worth buying it because of that

Good news gets better!

We don't want shipping to deter any jerky lovers so were going to reduce shipping to $16USD and absorb the cost for a short period. Don't forget, were also offering a %10 discount on the jerky Wink

We found the average shipping price to be $21USD. Some countries are expensive and others fairly priced. Our idea was to throw in a 28g if the destination was under and bear the cost of an expensive country until we optimise our system. In future I think we will develop custom pricing for each continent and search for deals with our shipping friends.

The two gentlemen above scored a free 28g 5 flavour pack each! Were going to cover the shipping and even throw in a few stickers.

Were always going to look after bitcoiners. We love community feedback and appreciate your thoughts. By listening to what people think we can keep on improving!
