I have made my own linux operating system for coin mining with AMD cards, it has an algorithm change to the most profitable on zergpool, zpool and miningpoolhub, underclocking gpu and various other functions.
I do not have it publicly because I have done a lot of work without anyone helping me and I can not provide support. currently running in 10 mining rigs with gpus rx570 mining ethereum classic with a speed of 1.8 Ghs.

No operating system has taken care to stop the mining somewhere to cool the cards, thus helping their longevity. I have programmed this feature in my operating system.
The difficult thing to do to build such an operating system is remote monitoring. It can be achieved by adding a computer with a teamviewer constantly open to the network which are the mining rigs.

This is an example of wasted talent, if your private built Linux OS works very well with AMD GPU why can't you implement some kind of payment from the public to use? because I do not know how to do these. most operating systems were built and maintained by a team of programmers. I built it myself. I can not provide support for a problem and it does not have remote monitoring. it also does not have a graphical environment you need to know the basic linux. only in a rig I adjusted it remotely as it is 150km away from me through teamviewer 1 year ago and so far it has not stopped working. but it will definitely need dust cleaning but there is no problem it starts normally when you open it etc.
it also works perfectly on usb and hdd but not on ssd. I do not have the time and appetite to look for it since a usb 8gb is enough.
in my opinion. User interface is a pain, looks so shitty, no realtime GPU clocks -> the biggest problem.
