Hello guys,
Some time ago I noticed what different coins have different performance and sometimes the difference could be two times (ZEC vs ZCL or ZEN). And the most important thing is the performance changes in time, so sometimes ZEC could be more profitable then ZCL or ZEN.
When I was looking for a solution to maximize my profit by switching on the most profitable coin mostly I found semi-automatic applications or scripts for client side. At the same time while my miners use linux it was not a suitable solution.
So one of my requirement was transparent for the client side and I started creating such tool.
Couple days ago I have completed the first (the early alpha) proxy for autoswitching mining coins to maximize reward. It is available here http://45.32.159.118/
It works with Equihash based coins only (at least for now) like ZEC, ZCL, ZCL, BTG etc.
It was configured to work with suprnova pool while it uses the same account name for any mining coin (but I'm thinking how to jump back to flypool for ZEC) so to use it you will need an account on suprnova pool.
Switching happens based on profitability in btc a day. so there are two factors that influences on it -- rate and difficulty (reward).
Mostly it uses difficulty (reward), while the rate can rise up very quickly and when could fall down also very quickly. but it doesn't ignore the price -- it just uses the recent AND minimum price of the last 24 hours.
After two days running, it seems the profitability is greater at least on 10-20% versus ZEC mining. But while I have no reports yet could not state it.
WTM is used as a data provider for now.
All mined coins come on the pool account directly while the suprnova account is used (i.e. no fees)
The closest plans:
- incorporate reports for the last 24 hours to show what were mined and why
- use pools for difficulty information and exchanges for rate
- jump on flypool for zec
