additional update.

so my miner is still only hashing 66% of what it should be.

the aging test apparently showed that the hashing boards are technically all good because it can reach well beyond the 66% range under certain circumstances.

sent additional logs to canaan support and they said it should be the power supply. at $250.00 a pop including shipping .. i just simply ordered one and i'm not bothering with the warranty.

will update again once a new power supply goes in. about 2 weeks till it gets here.

but in the mean time it seems to be humming along at 52Th. less than ideal but not an oversized paperweight yet.

Update.

Looks like my 1246 seems to be on the mend.

Needed to do a hard reset.

Install FMS from the link above.

From FMS run the command line

[{"command":"ascset","parameter":"0,aging-set,1"}]

There seems to be an aging tab. I tried it and it didn't do much for me.

The command line process seems to scan or do something to check the ASIC boards.

The key I guess is to make sure the ECHU codes are not the dreaded 131073 codes. This code showed up for me once on a reboot. But on a second reboot it went away.

The process is several hours long. While the process is running the hash rate will jump around.

I did have to do this process a few times. I don't know why. But on the latest try my hashing got back to where it was originally.

Will monitor to see if it stays that way.

I don't see any issue from your logs except on Bootby and the last hashboard with low chip temp.
This log BOOTBY[0x12.00000000] means low hash rate.

I don't know why the 3rd hashboard is too cool but you can try to use the FMS tool and use the Aging to refresh all chips from the 3rd hashboard.

Hi!


Can I please get help on what may be going on with my Avalon 1246?

Hashing fine for about 3 weeks. Rebooted itself about a week and a bit in. Rebooted itself again after a second week and a bit.

After the second reboot it looks like one of the boards is not hashing?

I have all green lights. But the hash rate is basically 2/3 of what it should be. Prior to this recent reboot it was hashing at 82/83TH in normal mode.

Two of the HU warm up to about 75 degrees. One of them stays cool at 47 degrees.

I've swapped the board out from one slot to another. Originally in slot H0. After the swap H2 shows the cool HU. I moved the HU that was furthest away from the power supply to the middle slot. It's cool to the touch. The other two were warm.

If any one can shed any light on this I would be most grateful.
