It seems that all of us are affected I have a problem mining on a few pools and most of them are related to the DNS issue. It seems that the issue above is not related to hardware it might be because of the connection between the miner and the pool. My miner is running on idle mode recently and until now after I check noticed abnormal issues after trying to access the ViaBTC pool it says "The site cannot be reached" and then "DNS prob problem".

So I tried to research a bit and found some news and tweets and confirmed that I'm not the only one who experienced this.

I ended up switching my pool from F2 to Slush and it ended up resolving itself. I guess if the miner has trouble connecting to a pool (like a user mentioned above), it will automatically go into an idle state

Everything from your logs are abnormal look at the fan all of them shows 0 and the Vo and PS(Related to the power supply) show 0

So it might be a PSU issue.

What I would like to suggest is try to flash it first with the latest firmware available from Canaan here https://download.canaan-creative.com/
Then test it again if it doesn't solve your issue try to disconnect all cables from the unit and replug them all and try to run it at normal mode instead of performance mode.

Let see if there are changes on the logs.

Hey! Avalon's been running well for ~10 days nonstop. Temps have been fine.

There's been some issues with Viabtc which prompted me to reboot the machine (did a reset via the browser dashboard). Now I'm getting a red light and my logs are showing PVT_T0 as -273

There's my logs. Looking through it nothing seems wrong other than the temp reading. After bootup it says online then goes to idle after ramping the fans then idling the fans. Red status light solid.

I've reached out to Canaan but no idea on the timeframe for them getting back to me. Did the Thermal probe die? Anyone know the type and ohm rating on one? Or am I missing something obvious.

I even went through the trouble of signing up for a different pool just to see if it was a network issue connecting to Viabtc with the problems they've been experiencing. Nothing. If anyone has better contact info than their support email it would be greatly appreciated.
