Yeah, problem #1 is the supply is running on 110 when it should be running on 220. I guess it runs, but power output is probably half if that.

Can you go into advanced mode and post the diagnostics? Or check the voltage at the miner with a meter, I'm guessing it's way below 12v.

Also make absolutely sure you have the communication cable plugged into the right slot and the pool settings are 100% right. These things are persnickety.

Ok thanks a lot. Yes I have a miner still in box, only setup one for testing.

And yes i'm in the US, which I've read up on is 110V(120V?).  Common sense my mistake.  I'll make a call to electrician.

Mulitmeter it is for now.

Thanks again for all you guys help.  Keep you posted.

If you are running off a single pole 20 amp breaker, that's not 220v. Are you in North America? If so you should be running off a 2 pole 20 amp, for a max of 3 Avalons on that circuit.
The specs you provided for your Psu , state it will not run on a regular 110 v circuit. Also how many Avalon s are you running, you said you have a couple.

this looks like your problem.

buy a cheap meter from lowes or home depot or amazon

Ok I'm back.  Same problem though.

Ordered the recommended items and made the connections.

Setup my Avalon raspberry pi settings just as before, powered up miner but no still hashing.
The miner and auc shows green lights still.  With that being said, I'm starting to think my miner/psu is being under powered..?

Here are some additional factors i gathered
-psu ac input 180v-264v with plug adapter rated @ 10amp 250v
-running off single pole 20amp breaker

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Ok cool.

The parts are ordered and should be delivered in 2 days. I'll have to look into parts from Canaan.

I also tried another auc converters from other miners and that didn't work.  So, hopefully the controller being underpowered is only the issue.

Keep you guys posted.

You need at least a 2 amp charger in order to power the RPi correctly. Also, most chinese knockoffs that claim 2 amp are not so make sure you buy something decent.

I've just switched to f2pool, waiting for results.  And yes, I saved & apply changes to pool info.

As for the controller, it is being powered by a LG cell phone wall charger and the usb cable the controller came with.

I've let it sit for atleast an hour at a time just to see if the miner would kick into gear, but to no avail.

okay.

shit brick underpowered the rasp pi 3 just enough to let it work but not enough juice for the auc3

above is your best hope  easy fix buy this brick and these cables

https://www.amazon.com/Anker-6-Pack-PowerLine-Micro-USB/dp/B015XPU7RC/ref=sr_1_6?

may as well buy these in case the five pin cable from the auc dongle is bad
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O9Y80AK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

next is the auc3 dongle bad I do not know could be
next is the psu bad  if you have a 240 volt psu do you have 240 volt power.
next is the psm mcu or daughter board bad don't know  you need to order it

since part orders are slow  other then the ones from amazon I suggest them and checking the psu out.

after that  you need order parts from canaan

The yellow light you have means it is idle. Have you tried connecting to another pool just to see if that's the issue?
When you added the pool Information, you made sure to apply the changes?
What are you using to power your controller?
How long have you been letting it sit idle while you wait for it to hash, it takes a couple of minutes.

Hello all.

This is my first post.  Glad to be apart of the BTC community.

I received a couple of Avalon 741 miners on the 27th.  The problem is that the miner is not being recognized by the controller i believe.

I am able to access the controller after DHCP switch, my pool configs are good (slushpool).  But NO hashing/mining.

The light on the 741 is green/amber, the light on the auc3 is blue.  I'm running off a 1600 watt 90gold atx psu.

At this point, I'm lost and in need of help please.

Thanks in advance for all input!
