Will need to be a bank wire transfer.

Which creates a lot of tax issues.

Ie 60 x 2200 = 132000 deposit in a bank  account.

My bank does not do wires

If it did  I would need ssn full name and full address of every buyer.

I would need to report  the purchase of the items and the sale of the items to the irs.

All of that is fine  but if the irs asks for the info of each and every buyer  I would have to give it to them.

So at this point it is a no go for me.

I was debating doing a group buy for Canada at least. I already had the forms filled out with corporate information and sent in a week back. So we'll see what happens. I'm looking to get 30 depending on price, with another 30 filled by word of mouth already. My calculated price for the A821 is ~$2306 USD.

And just what is wrong with using their distributors? No minimum order, can pay with BTC, Paypal, CC, full OEM warranty, no hassles with customs, etc... Seems fair enough to me if one is not filling a large farm. And if you are - get a pallet or 2 of them direct from Canaan though if you inquiring now you will be pretty far down the list of farm orders.

Would you rather we go through what happened in August with the last round of small quan. factory-direct buys?

I filled out the forms but they're honestly well above my individual budgeting.

I'm kinda pissed about this new 60Units-or get fucked attitude they seem to be going forward with.

Hopefully a veteran GroupBuy organizer might have some interest in one up as I'm more than confident filling a 60 unit bulk purchase would be pretty easily sold out however I understand the massive hassle such a large group buy would likely generate.

I'd be down for at least 3-5 assuming they're cost comparable to S9 prices etc ...

Does anyone have any connections with Canaan to do an Avalon A8 group buy? I really want to get my hands on one as soon as possible but I know they are going to be hard to get so thought if we were able to order 60+ we can get them directly from Canaan rather than a distributor. Thoughts?
