What about Batch #3.... Oh yeah, that's right. They will NEVER reach break even thanks to Avalon's 3 month delay in delivery.  Grin  Grin  Grin

The only path to break even was a refund.

I have a batch #2.  It seemed natural for me to start a thread that focused on them.  I was at the very end of batch #2, so the beginning of batch #3 is at essentially the same time.  My suspicion is that the batch #3 people have received 40-50 BTC now.  I suspect they will reach break even in 6 weeks.  If you have a batch #3, you could post some data if you wish.

Received Avalon Batch#3 4mod 10th Aug... to the date mined around 20btc so "only" -80btc now as price was 100btc.

I have 3 Avalons delivered at the beginning of July.  My total BTC income just hit 200 BTC.  My total expenses were about 56 BTC per device, so 168 BTC.  That gives me a total operating income of 32 BTC.  My electricity is about $200 per month, so it looks like I'm up about 28-29 BTC.

I have reinvested the vast major of that 200 BTC into KnC and Hashfast gear.  I was saving up for Cointerra gear but i was disappointed with the pricing.  I'm now saving up BTC for Gen 2 gear that should be coming out Q1 2014.

I have one of the very last B2 and it already paid for itself. It helped a lot that instead of 66 GH its real rate has been 82 GH almost from the very beginning. The more you earned early, the better your ROI is.

Sorry to doubt you but can you please prove you have a Batch #1 unit that was received in June.  Unless you really did something to piss Avalon off, it is hard for me to believe this.

Is that proof enough?  I also posted in this thread:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/who-else-from-avalon-batch-1-hasnt-received-a-unit-or-shipping-information-157856

I never pissed BitSyncom off, but I can't say that the reverse is true.

Sorry to crash your Batch #2 party, but I thought I'd mention that I still haven't reached break-even in BTC on my Batch #1 unit, but I'm getting close.  Received it at the end of June, paid 110BTC.

Sympathy is appreciated Smiley

Let me offer my sympathy & welcome to the party.

I put numbers into a calculator, and look ahead to see when I think break-even will be.  I have about a week to go.

Paid 225 (3 units)

ROI 3 weeks ago

Power .02/Kwh

Over the operating life of the unit, I will likely Double ROI before power consumers more than its income per month.

I received 1 Avalon on July 1 and 2 more on July 7.  I've reach break-even (in BTC), but give me some time to collect all the numbers for a more detailed analysis.

This thread is for people to report when their Avalon (reached / will reach) Break-even.
Electricity cost makes it more complicated.  I would just use the Avalon cost and list electricity separately.
This is a self-moderated thread.  You have probably read my thoughts on hate postings elsewhere.  Say what you want, but keep the language civil and based on reality.

BTC paid; payment txid; Date received; Date of break-even neglecting electricity; other costs (customs, shelving, cables, security, storage); free form comments.
