Bitsyncom, consider a discount on B3 for those with pending B2 orders?

Sending them 163BTC for two units without having anything to show for it is tough to take.

Changed my "Maybe, I haven't decided yet" to YES!
Im new for mining but Avalon seems to be the fastest way to get started. I´ll place my order when Avalon opens Batch 3.

Was really looking forward to B3. Surprised but ready to pay new price 'til I learned of additional shipping delays on Batch 2 (thru the translation). Just cant swing it with out having mined, especially with recent drop in BTC/USD price (lost gains to cover cost).

I don't have 5k I'd like to gamble like this.

If (it's a big if) BFL actually gets their shit together and starts shipping ASICs in between now and then, the ROI of batch 3 is going to be horrible, especially at this price.

Exactly  Wink

It is big IF,but a if none the less, tooo risky for most.

And just think
5000 USD and more per unit? NO way. 1700USD max.
Yep, if it would be $5000+,  i would pass too.
Luckillly, got 88 BTC's last night at $55.1, so ended up with only 88x55.1 =  $4848.  What a deal !!!

If anything, Batch 3 customers will make Avalon the Golden goose. Their greed will power the next shrink.

As long as I don't pay the high price, I don't care who puts their money into it. It will only secure Avalon's future viability.

I would have bought a couple of units, but increasing the price 3 times for substantially the same hardware seems a little... abusive? If the exchange rate drops significantly it's unlikely that these units would recover the investment.
Infact it cannot be said "investment" if in this price, "gamble" portion is more.

Has anyone from Avalon mentioned what the trade-in value will be on Batch 3 units?  I can see that affecting people's decisions.

Since I got 2 from the first batch, I was thinking to get maybe more from batch 3, but this price changed my mind. I thought it might be overpriced, but not this much ... If it was some computer equipment that I could sell afterwards, hell yeah. But this way, when its of no use, I can only throw it into a trash.

Only if there any indication when it shipped, otherwise any claimed Roi is well within the speculation area.

For what its worth, if the units are marketed at CHINA as what the earlier Chinese postings seem to suggest they will most likely sell out. I would never underestimate the purchasing power of the Chinese when it comes to speculative investments like these

Cheers

Seems there's a lot of mixed thoughts on the price, so in the interest of community understanding I thought I'd create a simple poll for people to get a sense of what everyone's collective thoughts are on the matter.
