Hi everyone

the asics does not mine and it gives me a temperature error (-273) on PING(0) Does anyone know the possible solutions?

I don't know exactly what happened to your miner but if you got that error it might be overheating.

If you can share the whole API logs and post it here we can maybe able to find out what the cause of this error.

Or better learn how to read the troubleshooting guide how to read the API logs you can download the guide from this link below.

hello,
sorry for the late reply, I did not have time to dig into this past week.
   I have done the following:
  1. I have taken the unit apart, clean everything and put everything all back.

  2.  I tried to update it Avalon update tool Beta, but every time i try to load the file in the backstage, it say "this device contains property stm8, upgrade file must be plus version!", I tried to use other FMS files on https://canaan.io/service/447, I received the same error of Stm8.

   3. I tried to run the program, it tells me to put in the IP address which i did. I'm not sure what should i put for port number, but either way, i keep scanning but nothing show up

   3. I tried to use the FMS, https://download.canaan-creative.com/fms/v2.3.3/, i was able to open the program but it tell me to "select at least one", but there is nothing for me to select

I can't figure out what do i do wrong....please help.

Hello, I have the same problem. Mine keep staying in idle not go online. It look like i have temp sensor issue. I took it apart, clean everything but still not work. My STA LED is red, PSU blinking green. In the backstage: Overview: Idle (green), Network:idle (in grey), configuration: Idle (green).  Someone iin another forum told me that i have temp sensor problem, i don't know where is the temp sensor located Undecided

Can anyone please help?

There are many reasons why you got these logs it could be a PSU or Fan or it is related to a program issue.

Would you mind to test out the Canaan new upgrading tool you can download it from here https://canaan.io/service/447
Download the Avalon Miner Upgrading Tool then try to upgrade your unit if not try manually flash your unit with the latest firmware.  You can download the firmware here https://download.canaan-creative.com/

Then if upgrading does not work try the aging method you can download the tool on the same link above with the name FMS tool the v2.3.3 version and then run it and look for the aging near diagnose button. To help refresh your unit and test it again.

If still doesn't work then disassemble the unit try to clean them and replug everything make sure there is no short circuit and test it again and like the above said check the fan if it's running fine.

The state of the power supply appears to be normal. You need to check that your fan connectors and cables are well connected, the logs show 0 RPM for all 4 fans. Therefore, the temperature is abnormal and the operation is stopped.

I only have the manual for 1066, I'm not sure if this applies to the 1166 pro. According to your description, it may be the miner overheating protection, so it cannot enter the mining state. You need to check the fan and room temp. If you can copy the log here, maybe we can know the direction better.

Can you still able to access the miner through the browser? If yes then look for API logs and copy the whole logs and post them here don't forget to put them inside the "Insert code tag" A # button.
Or if you have a character limit then use pastebin.com and paste the logs there and copy the URL and share it here.

There might be other reason before the temp error we can get more insight if you post the whole API logs.

Hi,
I have a Avalon 1166 pro miner which was working perfectly, is now not functioning.
Miner is switching on but wont go to mining state. The error shown is related to temperature on the miner boards.

What can be the reason for this error?
