Thanks, I did already actually, but the RPI image well, it doesn't work in that it's the WRT with no way to log in.
Someone forgot a readme or some text file with a user name and password or at least the password for the root user.
but nope, they changed it from the default Open WRT software, and didn't tell anyone.  Also there is supposed to be a www server you can loginto to change settings, but that doesn't run on boot.  sooo, kinda screwed.

Right now I'm learning how to compile on RPI.  Basically, if you want it done, you gotta do it yourself.
I'll totally make my RPI image available after.

You're doing it wrong.

I've had no problems with the supplied openwrt images for either the rpi or WR703, with one caveat: FW upgrade through the UI is not functional in the rpi build, so must be done manually. I'll take the minor inconvenience over dealing with the WR703's limitations thanks.

My wife tells me that all the time.

I tried all the RPI images, couldn't log in or see any www on it.  I couldn't find login/pass for it anywhere.
I then compiled cgminer with avalon enabled on raspbian/wheezy and was able to fire up cgminer and see the device and get started.
However, all I get is Hardware Errors.  In the beginning of this thread, there is talk of a jumper to switch, however this one doesn't even have it soldered on to jumper anything.
I then tried MinePeon avalon enabled.  Excellent piece of kit for the RPI, same result as before.  Honestly, I think this thing is toast.  At 1Kw power usage for 300Mhash...I think I'll use the Power SUpply on my Vert Coins and scrap the aluminum.

CCbmc  ,Here is the very serious problem u have to face .with that high(unreasonable) price i mean ur assembly fee or the spot rigs .How do the miners can make a decent profit? Yes i understand loads of chinese miners have ordered ur future rigs but according to the info from my chinese friends, lots of your clients regretted ordering your service for the increasing difficulty and the unpredictable risk.the only way for more business is to cut your pirce including your  assembly price which is prohibitively expensive to miners.

Our main business is the avalon chips OEM assembly!
The complete machine is a customer consignment sales! Price is to provide chip customers to develop their own!

That was 15 mill difficulty ago and with no actual competitors testing actively created chips.

Also I got my Avalon 3 module for BTC14

Yifu is a trusted member of the BTCitcion community

these guys are not
the difficulty has increased 5x
5 other legitimate companies have announced chip manufacture.

If these guys want to sell ANYTHING at this point they should really be considering escrowed immediate shipping for no more than BTC20

modules for 14? so for 4 makes 56 plus case? id buy something like this for 50-80 after next diff.

Well, just to clarify I contacted them through email and they told me that this prices above are WITHOUT chips, so I asked them the price with chips included as we can see in the photos they got them.

If you provide them the chips they need 10-12 days to complete the assenbly.

I asked them if they accept paypal and they told me that they accept alipay through taobao ( I asked them the taobao shop link)

They also told me that they can declare a low value in order to get a low fee at the customs.

This is just for information purpose, you decide what you do with your money or chips Wink

Can you show proof somehow of this response you got? Not really doubting you, but just want to make sure.

Also, I really dislike how such a large amount of mining shops require you to send them the chips. While yes, it does make more sense for the shop, it causes the consumer to fumble around a lot, increases unnecessary delay (get chips, send chips, wait for shipping, miner gets assembled, miner sent, wait for shipping), and these shops can obviously get the asic's for much cheaper than us due to being able to buy in bulk. Also, why on earth is AsicMiner not selling their raw asic's?

I send you a pm with a photo  Wink

If you want, I can always provide a lot of pictures!
In early July we pre-sold 50 units 730 4 # avalon mining machine!
Yesterday just completed delivery!
We own factories, accepted avalon chips processing business from around the world!
These photos are shot using a mobile phone, more ugly, so do not want to post!

From where do you have Avalon chips? When did you bought them?

Like he said; 'a friend' ordered them in April, and they fell off the back of a lorry in June. Wink

They want BTC105 per unit

-_-

I think the price is ¥11288 which means they want $1843.75 so around 18BTC plus chips.

edit: Wrong item sorry. They want ¥ 68,888.00 for the four model avalon which I think includes chips.

¥ 68,888.00 = $11 251.96

EDIT: These ARE the old photos mixed with a mid July screen capture. Nothing new here.

Yes, but the ID pic is old along with the bulk chip pics and some of the assembly. It's not your fault, but someone on another thread claimed that you are stating your chips had only just arrived. Which isn't the case. They arrived some weeks back now.

Really nice pictures you got there, though that pick and place you use looks ancient, hah.

Anyways, so from what I understand, lets say I want to order this:
2,2 # whole 44-54G (unplugged machine can dig), ¥ 7788.00
Original 3MM aluminum chassis + Seasonic X850 gold supply

That means I get a machine which hashes between 44 and 54 Ghash/s, including the chassis and a 850 Watt power supply, for ¥ 7788.00, or about 1,300 USD?
Are the machines already assembled and ready to ship out, or do you still have to assemble them and fab the boards and whatnot? How long will it take for you to ship it out if for example I were to order it right now?

How much is shipping, and how quick is it? To the USA for example.

And how do you deal with customs? How much would customs cost, $100?

Transportation is not a problem! This price does not include the Avalon chips

Why are you guys even talking about this?

These would be incredibly over priced even if they included all the Avalon chips (which they don't).

I dunno why anyone would buy one, perhaps I'm converting my currencies wrong??

EDIT: On the second look, it looks like only their hardware that comes with ASIC chips is expensive:

The spot avalon 4 # 110G ¥ 68888
August 30 presale avalon 4 # 110G ¥ 42888
September 30 presale avalon 4 # 110G ¥ 28888

Their price without chips is reasonable I guess.

If you're confident with bitcoin value increasing these will make ROI.  Otherwise, these won't make ROI.  You're better off buying coins then, though, imho.

Spet 30 - 4,719.11 US Dollar
Aug 30 - 7,006.14 US Dollar
On Spot - 11,253.47 US Dollar

For 11,253.47 if the weekly difficulty increase is at least 10% you'll be taking a 4,700 loss.  The only way you'll make ROI is if bitcoin value increases.
For 11,253.47 if the weekly difficulty increases by 50 TH/s per week you'll be taking a 1,100 loss.  The only way you'll make ROI is if bitcoin value increases.

For 7,006.14 if the weekly difficulty increase is at least 10% you'll be taking a 1,600 loss.  The only way you'll make ROI is if bitcoin value increases.
For 7,006.14 if the weekly difficulty increases by 50 TH/s per week you'll make ROI.  This is extremely optimistic and *may* happen but probably won't.

For 4,719.11 if the weekly difficulty increase is at least 10% you'll be taking a 1,100 loss.  The only way you'll make ROI is if bitcoin value increases.
For 4,719.11 if the weekly difficulty increases by 50 TH/s per week you'll make ROI.  This is extremely optimistic and probably won't happen.

Translation:  You're better off buying bitcoins than mining hardware.  I don't understand why someone would say this is reasonable.  I guess if people are accustomed to giving away their money for free then yea - this is reasonable.
