I offered $9999.  I knew the auction would fail.

He emailed me back after the auction and begged me to buy it.  I told him to contact me when he has it in hand and that nobody would buy it from him until that point.

There are lot's of "pre-order" opportunities on ebay for vaporware.

some say they are getting fake bidded up since they are mostly scam auctions anyway..  who knows
