I was able to get the network card going by using micro USB. It is covered by the chassis so I took out the network card and used my computer to power the network. I got blue flashing LED and then solid blue LED, but I cannot ping the card at any IP.
I'm guessing since the network module does not power on using the USB A cable as it should, the controller board is dead.

Hello everyone. I am new here and I came because I'd like to get started on some ASIC mining.

I got my hands on the Avalon1, and as I can find out I got batch 1. PDU version is 1.5 and pictures of batch 1 generally match what I have.

Problem is I can't find anything on how to get this thing working. It came with a USB unplugged hanging out of it. I plugged it into the network module as I figured that's where it belong. There was some thermal paste on it, which matched was what left on the chassis next to the network module.

As far as I can find out the network module is getting power from this USB, but I get nothing out of it. At first I tried to connect that USB to a computer, and my computer picked it up as a COM port, COM10. I connected to COM10 using baud rate 115200 with no flow control. I got some output but nothing I can make anything out of, so again I figured it should go into the network module.
But the network module is completely dead. I just get "cable is unplugged" when I plug in a CAT6 cable to it, and into my computer.

I read that you need to connect to it at 192.168.168.100, but I get nothing but cable is unplugged on my computer.

The thing has two front LED's. The first one is green, and the second one turns yellow pretty fast and just stays yellow. Not sure if this means it cannot connect to the internet to begin working, or if it is just broken.

Maybe I can buy a spare PCB somewhere to get it working? Not sure what is broken and what is not, or even if it is broken.

I tried to find the assemble manual to make sure it is assembled correctly, but the links I can find are broken.

I used this wiki: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Avalon1
Looking at the PCB's and name of the pictures I worked out that it seems to be fully assembled, just that the network module does not turn on. There is also an empty USB A on the control PCB.
Could it be this USB A need to have a USB key with the firmware on it, or is the firmware on the board itself? I see newer ones needing a Rasperi Pi with firmware installed on an SD card to control the thing.
In case of that, how do I make this USB, and where do I get the firmware?

In any case that TP-link network module should get power and at least let my computer register an ethernet cable plugged in, right? I see no other open ports which can power on the network card.

Does anyone know anything about these old things? Is there any help to be found anywhere?

BR,
Jesper

I took some pictures of it:
