Good day everyone. When a friend told me how he makes money from bounties, I joined Bitcointalk and have solely participated in bounties ever since. I've been in bounty for a while,

Basically just listening and without implementation certainly gives the impression that you are just doing work that is a waste of time here, but when you are interested in learning every corner of the knowledge from the Forum it will make you know more material. maybe most of your friends introduced you to how to get income from bounties, of course you especially have to master how to work properly, when joining only for a while I don't think this gives you a perfect understanding of it.

I'm hoping I still have time to start over and prove myself in this place. I need guidance

Besides you need guidance from someone who has enough knowledge in the Forum, it's a good idea to follow the forum procedures, including that you can join discussions with colleagues in the forum and contribute to them. it's important here for you to take the time to learn it, but learning from the members in the forum by understanding the contributions they made certainly I think gives you more knowledge, maybe if you're new we won't say you're too late either. especially once you are in the right place now and this is from my perspective.

Good day everyone. When a friend told me how he makes money from bounties, I joined Bitcointalk and have solely participated in bounties ever since. I've been in bounty for a while, and during that time I've heard and read some topics about how unproductive and time-wasting they are here. However, I stayed because I wanted to confirm and see it for myself, and from what I saw and experienced, I realized how unproductive and time-wasting they are.
I ultimately made the decision to make amends and resolved to be more engaged with other forum sections to learn more about it and, ideally, discover Bitcoin. I'm hoping I still have time to start over and prove myself in this place. I need guidance
Information is very powerful because if you are not informed some good opportunities might be passing you by even when the opportunity is in your neighborhood.
You could be in this very forum for a very long time and yet you would not have the necessary information, only if you concentrate your attention in one particular part of the forum.
It is nice that you have realised how long you have wasted your time in the Bounty, but this is a correct time rebuild.

Yet some people are making it from the Bounty, but how they do it is what I don't know.

Most bounty campaigns I see does not give that much to the participants, which is understandable since the tasks are just simple. There are some though that are worth joining at.
I'm glad that you came up into that conclusion.
Good luck, let's see if you'll be here for a long long time.

A new era of newbies come here to be part of those spam bounty campaigns, but still, some want to learn about the bitcoin community and others related to it. This makes it more accessible to understand other earning factors in the cryptocurrency world. You can participate iin the services or the marketplace if you want to. Also, signature campaigns offer bitcoin as the payment, but before joining with those, you need to have merit and rank requirements. Most likely, I've seen with the full member that you must have 100 merits. I suggest focusing on learning before earning.

I mean, there is nothing wrong with the mindset of joining this forum in order to earn some profit/income. But the advice of your friend is relatively bad due to the nature of bounties where some and majority of them pay at a staggering low amount or sometimes not even at all. Not to mention, brand-new users who join these bounties overall contributes to the general spam on different threads.

If I were you, continue what you have realized. Focus your goal on learning and exploring the cryptocurrency world at your own pace. Use the motivation of earning as a stepping stone in educating yourself with all the basics and fundamentals of cryptocurrencies here in this forum.

The time where bounties pay decent or good amount to participants hard to find nowadays because bounties are no longer a trend unlike before or during those years where ICO are trend. There are bounties that pays but as I have explained that it is not that easy to find. It is not completely waste of time since some of the bounties really pay.

Good to realize that spending some time on bounty campaign is not really worth it since almost all of them doesn't give any compensation to their hunters and its a huge waste of time for months of work. But you didn't lose something since you gain an experience and just be consistent about learnings since for sure you can earn with it in future. More knowledge to learn here and also skills so better keep more engagement on other section to learn more ideas from other people.
You wasted your time and effort working on bounties, but you also gain experiences as well that will make you become productive later on, so just do your due diligence and continue to learn from the forum, soon you will land in a well-compensated job that will paid off your hardwork and effort. As long as you’re an active member in the forum, then you’ll always be updated whatever job opportunities that may come.

As it stands now, bounty campaigns are a precious waste of time. Your friend must've relayed to you the golden era of bounty campaigns here. I guess that era ranged from  2016 - 2017. That was when a lot of users who were serious hunting it made cool cash. Now, not anymore.

At times, it often goes down to who introduced you as they indirectly pick a path for you and input cases, you stay the path and don't get to stray until you realise otherwise. It's a good thing for you not to have focused all your attention on bounties and tried to engage yourself on other boards of the forum to have come by the informations that made you realise otherwise.

Bounties is such a waste of valuable time and at the end of the day, you end up being left with worthless tokens that dont have any prospect if getting any form of value even in the next decade. Can't say I feel sorry for those who stay the path, it's what they want and they get it anyway. Besides, it's good for business to amass the population they need to spread the word out.

This is something that often happens in this forum when we expect to earn a lot of money from bounties. But with a certain rank, bounties are a waste of time, except for bounty campaigns that are paid with BTC, stablecoins, or other top coins which are fixed payments every week or month. but besides that, it's just like gambling, sometimes you can earn, but sometimes you don't. And more do not earn.

I suggest you keep reading and learning in this forum. Make better and more contributive posts so you can at least contribute better. Other effects might be good for you to get merit and increase your rank so you can get the opportunity to take part in the fixed payment for the signature campaign. Even though this is not the only way, you can get it. Btw, you can also start learning to invest or trade Bitcoin so you can consider various aspects, starting from risks and ways to overcome them. so that you can gain profits from this. But exactly, the journey will be more challenging.

Good day everyone. When a friend told me how he makes money from bounties, I joined Bitcointalk and have solely participated in bounties ever since.
Great to have you on the Bitcointalk forum, but I think your buddy made the wrong impression of what the forum really is all about..and first impressions really matter.

Of course bounties are part of the forum but if this is the sole purpose of joining BCT, then it's highly likely you don't interact with others here which disqualifies it from being called a forum  Roll Eyes

There is more to the forum than bounties alone, you could get information on how to mine different cryptocurrencies, you could learn how to trade, maybe different strategies of gambling and the list is endless.. the is something for everyone you just need to find something that will catch your eye besides the bounties...

I've been in bounty for a while, and during that time I've heard and read some topics about how unproductive and time-wasting they are here. However, I stayed because I wanted to confirm and see it for myself, and from what I saw and experienced, I realized how unproductive and time-wasting they are.
I kind of agree and disagree because bounties are like food, there is something that you can and can not eat, you always have to be picky and it's the concept that applies with bounties... You can't just jump on everything that comes your way, you need to find one with a strong background and real concept to benefit from them.

I ultimately made the decision to make amends and resolved to be more engaged with other forum sections to learn more about it and, ideally, discover Bitcoin. I'm hoping I still have time to start over and prove myself in this place. I need guidance
Hope you find other sections benefiting to you, good luck Smiley

Bounties are most of the time not worth. However, there are plenty of good opportunities in this forum if you are willing to visit the Services Board,  where you can find some jobs and campaigns that pays with bitcoin. They pay good money some times.

Anyway, you need to engage yourself in useful discussions so you can rank up your account and join those services.
Right. Gone are days when bounties are still profitable and are providing us good income. So giving your time and efforts into bounties are not worthy anymore. However, if you can develop some skills related to crypto, you can earn a living from it. Moreover, if you can rank up from your position and be a quality poster, you can also participate in signature campaigns which are proven highly profitable these days. Just explore the forum and you will have more ideas on how to stay profitable in crypto.

Times have changed. Gone are the days when a good number of bounties are really paying, and with tokens and coins that are worth something. Those were the days, when ICO was still a thing. I can still remember the time when many ICOs were selling their tokens like hotcakes, hitting hard caps very quickly. I even used to invest in a number of them. It's possible your friend is referring to those times. Today, I don't think joining bounties would really give you a good extra income. It's probably not worth your time and effort.

It is good that you have moved past bounty to taste new knowledge about other things in this forum. I have not been too interested in Altcoins discussion boards since joining this forum. First, I read here that Altcoin boards are mostly full of spam posts, and from my previous experiences with a few Altcoins, I don't get much interest in Altcoins. Some times, if you don't catch the project early, you end up losing your investment because the project may just disappear and delete all details about itself. In other boards like Economics, Bitcoin discussion, Meta, beginners' & help, Development & Technical Discussion, Service Board, and Politics & Society, you will really get to learn a lot of stuff and also contribute what you know or something you have heard about. If you love games and fun, there are gambling boards and games & rounds in this forum. It's a good thing you made a U-turn ✌️.

Maybe you're right, and maybe the OP really wants to go in a different direction and I think he should be given a chance. I checked his post history and since December last year he was not active in the bounty, and the merit was an additional motivation in order to encourage him to make a change. It is true that he needs many more merits to become a Full member, but every journey begins with the first step - we can say that he only needs 9 merits to become a Member, which is a much more attainable goal.

You are correct that Bounties are a waste of time nowadays, but some forum users who have participated in Bounties in the past have testified that Bounties were good back then and that they made a lot of money in Bounties.

But bounties are now a waste of time because most new projects are scams and lack reputable teams to move the projects to a higher level; therefore, if you take your time and go through different sections in the forum, you will discover how important the forum is, and I wish you success.

You need guidance for how to make money from bitcointalk and nothing else, don't get offended and there is nothing wrong earning money here but what efforts are you giving to make it happen only matters at the end. Already mentioned above that you violated one of the forum rules do first you need to read the rules to avoid your account from getting banned.

Then you need 99 more merits to reach full member and can start earning in Bitcoin if you're accepted in a campaign.

@Kalam001, I thought I was clear enough in my post, but apparently I wasn't considering that you ask the same questions and that you didn't read the forum rules as I advised you. You have already violated one of them (posting multiple posts in the row), and there are many more that you should read - take your time and read ->

Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ

Also, read all the sticky threads at the top of this board, because that's the only way to learn some things - you won't achieve anything by repeating the same questions.

Bounties generally aren't productive but we still have some good paying bounties out there, we have decent managers bringing in some stablecoin like campaign. You can engage yourself in those while you still learn and try to engage more in other areas of the forum. Since you came to the forum with the mindset of making money, don't think the other side of the grass is greener as you'll regret it. You switching shouldn't make you desperate for merit and start spamming unnecessary threads to hurt for merit.

You have to change your mindset completely if you want things to workout well for you on the other side. Be more if a reader than a posters as you get more wisdom when you listen than when you talk. You can easily develop the habit of constructing your post to be worthy of been reward when you pay attention to what others have to say and be mindful of those you pay attention to as we have some high-level of low quality writer that won't be helpful to your transition and remember, you become what you read.

Congratulations mate there is no shame in coming out plane and actually admitting you were doing something wrong and you want a change. Joining bounty is not against the official rules that why people don’t get banned because of it but what is an account when it doesn’t have any level of credits from its community members.

I have learnt from the stories of now respectable members about how they started just like you and later made a change that they are benefiting from. I believe if you can have the that strength to want a change you can make it possible, make good post, read more and participate in a manner that shows you have actually giving up the life of spamming.

First I must commend you for making the effort to change your mind about the forum since your aim in joining the forum was to make money which is why you jumped on bounties for a quick buck but you end up disappointed that most of the altcoin projects are scams and doesn't add anything to both investors and bounty hunters.
This is why we are advised not to waste our energy and time on bounties, and for you to have realized your mistake and be ready to take your time to learn the fundamentals of bitcoin and its ecosystem, this will help to build financial intelligence.

There still some bounties that pays decent amount but not the same amount during 2017 altcoin craze. I believe you want to pursue joining signature campaign now since you want to start over here in the forum. The only advice I can give you is to be creative and always use the search bar of the forum if you want to find answer to your question here in the forum.

Beginners and Help and Meta board has a lot of useful thread that can guide you in both forum and cryptocurrency knowledge. No one can give you here an exact guidance. You will need to do your own research if you want to become an outstanding member here in the forum.

It's time for you to make yourself better secretly with more extensive knowledge than your friends, then one day you'll start thinking of more effective ways to make money in this space. I'dn't be against you hunting for small income on that part, it's mostly from my past forum activity through someone else's information as well. But at least with this new knowledge you'll be more selective about joining bounties and finding gems from thousands of shit projects.
OP needs also to try to learn more activities in bitcoin like trading and use these platform as his coach or getting ideas on how to learn more. Bounties were not profitable now unlike before unless it is paid in BTC weekly and not in project coins. While finding a good bounties its also good to learn in this forum some strategy and techniques in trading as well other activities that might help in making money. It might not be in bounties but maybe you’ll find other opportunities in the service section.

I suggest you focus on this forum first, learn from older members, learn something about crypto and then start participating in forum discussions.
In this way, by helping other members, you will slowly build your reputation on this forum, your forum rank will grow, and finally you will be able to participate in well-paid btc signature campaigns.
It's important to be a member who can contribute to this forum.

I believe there was a time that bounties could make you a lot of money, especially when projects were just starting out, especially when it was ICOs, IEOs, and launchpads all the different ways invented to find funding for a specific project and make use of the marketing through bounties and all the other things that they do.

At least now, you would use the forum in the way it should be and make use of the learnings available. If you could also share something that you know, you're welcome to do it for sure.

I've seen peoples critics about bounties and how people spend time working themselves out and later end up being paid small amounts and sometimes end up being scammed by managers or project team. Why work so hard for a payment that's not even certain I'm glad you finally figured out what's best for you. It's never too late for anything I just believe when you are determined you can achieve anything in life.
If you are really ready to learn about bitcoin this forum is the best place for all you, you just have to read a lot. There are different topics being discussed here to help you on your journey and don't hesitate to ask questions when you you don't understand anything.

In the long run, you made a good decision before burying yourself even deeper in something that is difficult to get out of. You lost some time, but you still proved to yourself that what you were doing is not something you want to spend your time on, and sometimes first-hand experience is much more valuable than creating an opinion based on what others tell you.

As for the forum, it's never too late to go in a different direction and all you need is to find what interests you and try to participate in the discussion. Of course, before that I suggest that you read the rules of the forum, and that you adhere to them, especially that you do not plagiarize other people's work and be original in your posts.

The truth is that bounties of today do more harm than good to the project that is been promoted. I remember doing research about a project that launched a bounty campaign here and when I got to Twitter all I saw were so many twitter accounts making same post filled with same hashtags and I'm sure that does persons who knows nothing about bounty when they come across something like that they might think that the project is using some kind of a bot to make post on Twitter because all post were the same with no meaning to it.

And again the reason why most hunters nowadays get little to no pay is because of the number of hunters that participate in a bounty campaign, imagine a campaign that's paying $2000 for a four weeks twitter campaign and more than a thousand hunters register for that campaign. What exactly do they expect to earn from such campaign? $2 for four weeks?

Bounties now are worthless and are a waste of time. I don't know why many forum members still participate in bounties. There are many scam projects, and the companies are not keeping their word to their customers and the marketing team (bounty hunters).

It is great that you realize this very early and start to make a move. So, now you want to participate in group activities.
Here you will find some rules and regulations for newbies: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/newbies-read-before-posting-1689727
You don't have to discourage this person, you are momentarily promoting Sinbad Signature yourself and getting paid in BTC every week, why can't you just tell him to post quality posts so that he can rank up and start promoting Bitcoin-paying campaigns? They always pay every week and the waste of time comment from you only happens with Altcoin bounties.

OP, I was once passionate about the Bounty, thinking that new projects could benefit both the community and me as a contributor. But after some time, I began to realize that everything develops either through deceit or through the imperfection of new projects, which very quickly either turned into scams or simply disappeared.
You came to the right conclusion. Do not waste time on this; it is better to start studying bitcoin, participate in discussions, and read; over time, you will better realize how and where you can either earn or invest with the possibility of further profit. I wish you good luck.

I don't know why your friend introduced you about Bitcointalk and invited you to join because of bounties that are not good.
In general bounties isn't good but if he joined all of the bounties and participate it, he might likely can earn a good amount money for few bounties. Bounties isn't hard too because you only need to share, like, comment and create one liner post.

It's not surprising anymore someone only join this forum for money purpose, because that's how this forum will get a lot traffic.

However, you can try your luck and follow some guides listed from this "List Of How To Get Merit Guides Thread"
Not all user have a sole purpose to earn merit, actually the more someone want to earn merit, he will high likely wouldn't earn any single merit because he have a wrong mindset. If @OP only want to learn about Bitcoin in this forum, he can just exploring this forum without create any post, and there's nothing wrong with it.

I'm hoping I still have time to start over and prove myself in this place. I need guidance

You don't need to prove yourself to anyone here — we're freakin internet anons. Save yourself all the hassle and just move on to something more productive and that'll more likely yield you results.

When a friend told me how he makes money from bounties
Did your friend make good money from bounties?

I don't know why your friend introduced you about Bitcointalk and invited you to join because of bounties that are not good.

I've been in bounty for a while, and during that time I've heard and read some topics about how unproductive and time-wasting they are here.
If you have been in bounties for a while, you did know they are good or bad. Did you earn good money from your time with bounties?

If you did not earn good from bounties, it is a good confirmation for what you read in some topics about time-wasting with bounties.

I need guidance
everyone has different experiences when they enter this btt forum, but actually the point is to advance bitcoin and other crypto.
I don't really know about bounties and now I'm still in the reading stage and keep reading in this forum.

Because you're here to think of making money not gaining knowledge in the first place.  It's easy if you've knowledgable enough which is many rewards waiting ahead.  There are too many opportunities outside the forum to bring the knowledge that you obtained here and also quite good if you seek first a website that hires a freelancer job which I think enhanced your skills.

I tend to agree that's totally wasting of time and the reason I quit a long time ago.
It's over now not like before, yes before it was profitable even joining airdrop when I was here in 2017, but now, most of them turned into scams.

I have past experienced earning from bounties before I already sold my altcoins and tokens a long time ago they are legit except for a few coins that are still in my wallet that have never been sold because it's not listed.
There are lots of bounties out there the problem is they become a scam(most of them are scam) and can't able to sell them because it is not listed yet on any exchanges.
As suggested above joining a signature campaign requires a high rank since you are still a newbie you need to earn merit first but this is not an easy task without knowledge about Bitcoin and the forum you won't be able to earn merits.
However, you can try your luck and follow some guides listed from this "List Of How To Get Merit Guides Thread"

Nice advice to the Junior but for finding Jobs he might need to learn some skills, such as graphic designing for ANN threads offer, and signature designs. He can offer some marketing services as well that also require a good reputation and Skills. Anyway..

Moving next to sir I think Bounties are a total waste of time, as sometimes bounties really offer good rewards I know plenty of good projects paid really well but the point is Bounties are time-consuming and Hard jobs to do. Rewards are less than efforts. There are some good managers offer good bounties but 80% are waste of time so Smart act is needed to join Bounties choose good have good.
