There's already another thread about this saying that this kind of ads shouldn't be allowed.

This should belong to the meta sub, I think.
And this is not the only fishy add in rotation now, theymos also insisted on keeping an obvious scammer one, after cleaning the malicious code off.

EDIT : I actually just got it after replying to this thread  Grin

Do not click on that link, even if it's probably safe now.  Wink

Ridiculous, they should get a ban instead of an ad placement.

If I were in charge of this ad system, this wouldn't be allowed by me. I mean both of the cases, that "triple your bitcoins" -shit and malicious code attempting ad.

Seriously: keep scammers and untrustworthy people scamming and fucking up at your forums, ban people for silly reasons (different rules for different people Smiley), accept scammy/shady ads on the forum.. (you could've refunded instead of putting them in the rotation).. You need to rest or hire someone else to do your job. But nice job spotting the malicious code, though I don't see even accept anything else than text/image as an ad.

Bitcointalk is running this ad:

Here's what it links to:
https://www.bitmit.net/item/15000/?ref=6004 (promises to pay 3BTC in 3 years for 1BTC today)
Pretty much all there's to say.  Stay classy, Bitcointalk.

What else is new.  Just sounds like some of the loan requests in here.

This is a joke.  How can this be an alloowed ad?

Can people buy ad space and make an ad that says "Yes, this is a ponzi scheme.  Yes, you will be in before all the others and thus get paid if you click NOW!"

yes, as long as it's no malicious content.

I count 9 ads on this thread, since we're able to click the quoted ads.

If we click all of them, we could be millionaires in no time!

Crumbs, I think that you've discovered a real life money tree.

Even if that was legit who would want to wait 3 years for a measly three fold increase. I could just buy three bitcoins myself and wait for them to increase in value on their own, and then there's no risk.

Imagine hearing something about Bitcoin, finding Bitcointalk, and reading that ad  Undecided  Governments and banks don't need to lift a finger to undermine Bitcoin's credibility -- we're doing just fine all by ourselves.
