They're alright but they are only that cool because of all the photoshop or filters on it. I think a good picture is just straight lens.

Called High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography.

You take multiple pictures at different exposures from very under-exposed, to very over-exposed, then compile them together, either manually, or automatically with software (photoshop will do it, but isn't the best).
The result is that the dark areas are brightened and the light areas are darkened to give an even exposure across the whole image.
For example, imagine taking a photo of the light at the end of a tunnel . Ordinarily you'd just end up with bleached out arch shape in the middle of a black box. With HDR you'll see the details on the tunnel walls and the trees/sky/clouds outside.

i dont think he uses photoshop. its called HD rendering. its kinda like an ENB or shader overlay for games. it makes everything more vibrant.
