The forum will give essential information needed for your coming back I think you already notice the bitcoin forum all about have you seen the rules and regulation?. I think you missed out on a lot of things and it's good if you try to read some of the threads created by the member especially try to visit the Bitcoin discussion so you can catch up about the latest updates, events, features, adaptation, etc.

Even the web browsers you used recommend the news related to cryptocurrency.

Actually, if you see all the references about new news at the same time, it will be difficult to even get a headache because there are so many behind in cryptocurrency news.

It's better if you can slowly follow what is needed because now a lot of the latest information is coming it would be better to come back to this forum and have a discussion so I am sure that slowly you will know what is actually happening now because the world of crypto is now very important to involve the world and also your investment in the future.

Whatever a lot of people suggest, that's what and what you can do, don't be lazy, it will make you miss the news.

Its a good thing that the crypto space is ever accumulating and wouldn't get saturated at any point and it feels good to have another crypyo enthusiast amongst us, just hope your enthusiasm isn't over whelmed by the lots of need to know ahead of you because, the crypto field is on a constant improvement for better and better.

Well, if you hope at the snape of a finger or going through a few links and post will get you back where you vould have been in a long time, I ain't sure that would be easily realised in the least possible time. You have to be in and in and give it your all. Reading through the topics that could be easily grapsed until you advance. The success, is in your regular visiting of the forum and involving in forum discussion.

What really helped me, (and still does) to catch up with the everchanging cryptoverse were YT channels like Crypto Daily and ElioTrades Crypto to name a few. These channels have a more broader scope so if you are interested in specific topics I am sure there are more specialized channels, but watching videos on the general topics really helped me get up to date and it gives me a constant update on what's going on without the hassle of roaming through the whole internet.
Just make sure you filter the noise. Some of these guys are promoting their own bags or doing paid advertisements when they make videos. If you're fine with it then I guess subscribing to newsletter from mainstream media such as Cryptobriefing and the others would also help to keep yourself up to date with the latest trend.

IMO, one of the easiest way to check the latest updates is just to spend an hour or so reading glossary pages from some education websites like Binance academy. If one of the new entry is interesting for you, you can dig deeper with Duckduckgo or Google.

wow thank you. checking on this now. if you have any suggestions, feel free to send it here. thanks dear

What does it mean to send me information and links here? Do you want to turn your theme into a mega stream? Would you like to rewrite the whole forum here? It will probably be more convenient to take the time and get used to the forum on your own.

That's what I think. I get the impression that the OP wants to do everything too fast after having been offline for a few years. It is better to enter the forum regularly and read little by little. Information from this forum and other sources.

Moreover, I see from your first message that you are interested in mining. So you just need to move to the mining topic, there you will find people who will certainly be able to help you directly on the topic that interests you.

Instead of moving it, I think it will be better to lock this one (maybe after a few more replies) and to open another one there.

Also while you are stocking Bitcoin for long-time make use of cold storage for maximum security. The best out there is Electrum. I am assuming you must have heard of it since you are not new to bitcoin. Nevertheless, it's easy to use and don't require internet connection to run.

Get in while you can. It's hard to give you info per info on what happened for the past 3 years. You should give yourself an idea of the price and you have a background already on which websites you should have the info that will help you get back on track. I say that should you start with the news and media websites for cryptocurrencies but as you extract info, you should get yourself bitcoin already.

I was with crypto since 2014 til 2018. Decided to be back on track again. my head is about to explode seeing lots of info and updates. any link or info for me to catch up? or should I say get back in? thank you

The principle remained the same, only a lot of new projects and coins appeared in the meantime  Grin
Bitcoin is still the leader in the crypto world and seems to me the safest option if you are planning a long-term investment.
Start investing slowly and follow the news on this forum and elsewhere and you will be ok.
Of course, never invest money you can't afford to lose.
It's golden rule in any investment.

What are you looking for if you are talking about Bitcoin? Not much has changed since 2018, except that the price has risen dramatically.
Evolution has occurred for a lot of altcoins you will take some time to learn new things, but the fundamentals remain the same.
Your return date may cause all that a big loss or a good profit. We are in up rising market and price change happen quickly.

A lot has happened in the cryptocurrency sector over the past 3 years; even if you were to stick with Bitcoin, you'll still need to narrow down your research first to your interests, such as investing, bitcoin improvement proposals, adoption rate, mining etc to avoid information overload.

If you were to pick investing for example; you'll then search on the recent large cooperations, countries which has added Bitcoin to their balance sheet and how large retail investing is, till you're up to date in that aspect, and then move on to the next interest.

If you're easily overwhelmed, it'd probably be a great idea to just stick to the cryptocurrency that mostly matters— bitcoin. And seriously, probably just stack sats via dollar-cost averaging: https://dcabtc.com/
