Gambit.com had a two-week period of accepting bitcoin... then decided to remove the option because of legality and potential cheating problems.
Gambit still has the backgammon game, but there is no option to play for real money.

The issue at hand here with Backgammon is the fact that like poker, it requires both skill and luck... but unlike poker, there are no unknowns apart from the only luck factor. A computer algorithm would be at use in all of the games, I'm willing to bet: since you are able to see your opponent's pieces and play accordingly... with the limited amount of moves you have. The algorithm will just simply test for the most +ev moves, and that'll be it.

It's kind of like Chess in a way... where cheating has become a huge issue.

Your going to have an issue finding anything like that.
The big money maker is dice and sports betting right now so most aren't going to waste their time.

The big problem is the spanish law wich does not allow other websites to offer casino/games on spanish teritory.

I'm a passionate backgammon player (online & offline)
I see most of the websites wich offer this game are our of business ...
I don't understand what is happening because backgammon is one of the most popular game in the world ..
I'm searching for a website/casino wich have backgammon and where to play for bitcoins (or another crypto) or real money.
Someone know some websites?
