The reasons for which India isnt language specific are :
1 we cannot type our own languages on english keyboard, maybe transliterate it.
2 India has just TOO many languages, Hindi, Bengali,Tamil are not the ONLY ones so its really not possible to make a forum for a country with so many widely used languages.
3 people in India that use the internet know how to speak and read english as it is our official language and hence there is really no need for language specificity3.

Why an integrated forum would fail ? :

Because the idea of a local forum is to enable ease of cash transfer and the possibility of meetups, which a South Asia United Forum wont be able to successfully integrate because of the obvious border issues.

90% of people using internet in India know english, but that isnt the case with people from other south asian countries.
Plus lets be honest, everyone in South Asia pretty much hates Indians, its a documented fact, I know cuz I did some digging around sometime ago.

On the contrary if there is a payment system that integrates all the countries in SAARC and enables easy payment to individuals for both small and large amounts, then definitely we can see some progress.

I DO think this is as a good idea, i just dont see how it would work.

Rebuttal
1.  yes you can  type in the  National  language of India  which is Hindi.
2 To many languages  . yes  but  the national  language  being  Hindi  is  expected  from  most.
3. dont  know  what you meant  by  that . but  Language  specific  forums  are  there to  help  people speaking in that language.  India having the internet users, are  mainly english  educated hens English  being  the  proffered  means to communicate.  taking  that into  context the  users  involved  in  bitcoins  in  india is  low. participation is  low  ,(THE MAIN PROBLEM)

Why an integrated forum would NOT fail ?

You  are  looking at this only  through the lens off  trading  bitcoins  for  fiat. obviously this would  mean  problems  in transaction in  a particular foregin  currency  would  become  difficult.  but the number of  indian  users  would  remain  the  same  , more  members from the neighboring  countries  would  be  involved.  and  even  add to your   trading  profit.  so no harm here.

Well if you  think  every  one  from  south asia  hates  indians  then we  need to  be  able  to  extend  our  hands  and  show  how  much of  a   friendly  people  we  truly are.  changing  perception  comes  through  individual  act.  and  yes  most  of  the  south asian  do speak  English.

Again  you  are  looking  at it in  the  prospective  of  you  own  business ,  the number  of  Indians  wont  reduce  for  you, So your business is  still safe .. Integration  is  to  help  and  get  help  in more  community  participation.

How  it  works ? simple we integrate.

What i am  aiming  at Embarrassed
1. Greater  participation of  people  .
2. Giving  help  and getting  help  from  neighboring  country  members.
3. An International  collaboration, working  between  people  cross  country  forming partnerships.

Resulting effect:-
larger  community
problems  gives  rise  to newer  and  better  solutions (tow  heads  are  better  than  one)
friendly  ties  with  neighboring  countries (after  all  a  peaceful  nation is a  better nation )

Why Am i  promoting  this  idea.
Because  Our  indian  community  is  far to  small, it  cannot  sustain  on its  own . trust me  it needs to be  integrated  and  have  a  wider  community  outreach.

My  question  to  all is  why  would  you oppose it ? and  i will try to  give  a  reasonable  rebuttal to your  opposition. lets  talk people.

Ok  from  my  earlier  post,  in the  bangladesh  thread  i had  discussed   with a  few  members  about  the integration  of  the India  forum  into  a  South  asian  forum , that takes all  the  south asian countries  under  its  wing, There by creating a  larger  community and  increasing  then  number  of  members  comming  in .

What i am  looking at is to  increase  the  collaboration  of members  of  different  countries, and  giving  it  a  platform.

I know  i  said,  i  raise  my hands. but  what's  the  harm in discussing  this  out . I find open  dialog to  be highly  productive  when problems  needs to be  solved . and  right  now  for the Indian community  the  problem is  the  low  volume of  people  and  also  low  volumes  of  btc.  opening up  to  a  south asian  nation  would  help  tremendously.

and the  second  thing, i also  pointed  out  is that on the Bitcointalk, all  local  forums  are  language  specific, not  country . So looking at  that, the India  section  is the only odd one out.  it is  not  language  specific  ckz  every one  speaks  English, except  our own  sub forum , which  you all know  has not  taken off that well.

Ahaaa  ....  well  the  beauty about problems  is  the  solutions  that come  about .  remember these solutions  will only  work  when a  community  spirit  is  fostered. I am all about  creating  a  open  and  friendly community.  Creating, to many sub forums  will only  divide  the   bitcoin  community  which is  not a  good  thing.   We  the  few  members  are now in the  forefront  to having a  cross border community, and  then  flood of  new  ideas and changes that come  with it. greater  collaboration and faster  growth.

Now  if  you are  against  reaching  your  hand  over the border  and  integrate  the  south asian  members, then i dont  know   how  an  isolationism of  The indian  community  would  help us in the long  run .

OK.  speaking  on hypothetical terms, although  i  feel  greatly that it is  possible. but....   ok  back to  what i was  saying Hypothetically

A South  asian  integrated group (English speaking) (May be sub-forum for  national  languages)
 Effect :
Members  increase ,
Participation  on the  forum  increase .
Ideas  and  solution  to  trade start to take  place.
Bitcoin  trade increases (legendster you benefit  from this)
Mining  collaboration  may  increase .
New services   start up to  cater  to  the  problems  that  come  up .(Solutions  to  problems every one  is  talking about)

We can't always  go and  say "our group, no one  dare  enter it, my  country  my  say  i don't  like  sharing". But, what we  have  to  say  is "au contraire".
I always say, sharing  is  loving, and to love thy neighbor is the noblest of all  attributes.

I think  this  calls  for  a  new  thread proposing  this  idea.
