GLOBAL Bitcoin conference, ED raid, Exchange shut downs, 8% of total mined Bitcoin in India, 1% of total mined Bitcoin in India, all seems have NO effect in Bitcoin market price fluctuations, even in a tiny little percentage.
This proves one thing, India needs to go a longgggg way in Bitcoin.

Yes! A very long way. Maybe if ebay, Flipkart, Jabong and snapdeal start accepting bitcoin, our people might get some interest. Or the goverment can accept bitcoins for electricity bills  Tongue

Lol govt accepting btc for electricity would be epic ... do u think kejriwal will slash prices then :p

Well they dont represent the bicoin community any ways, They dont want to be part  of  community  discussions, they have  never contributed  any thing to the community and half of them are not  even entrepreneurs.
The coinmonk and unocoin have  never  done business  with any of the bitcoin  community, they have only opened a company and a  website, that accounts  to nothing  at all. Their  business practice are questionable and frankly speaking this is a classic dick move to fanning the press to  get publicity and con the  general public.

Typical Indian way of dealing with competition. First they got their rival arrested. And now they are officially launching their service.  Grin

What does the last part mean ? Sunny Ray and Sathvik Vishwanath led Unocoin is behind ED's visit to Mahin Gupta of BuySellBitco and Nilam Doctor of rBitco ?

I can only rehash what I said in my previous post - quite a number of people involved in btc are morons - thinking they are too smart:

Whatever it is. they are either too smart or too dumb.
Are they still launching unocoin.?
Getting a bad faith from the community doesnot do any good for them in future either.

Or maybe this is the correct way and we are all doing it wrong..  Shocked

There are several Bitcoin communities in India, theirs is one. They do have integrity issues, or maybe they believe that this is how a business should be built. Maybe they are not aware of a reputations or futures market. Maybe they do not understand that this is a global phenomenon.

Who knows. The open source nature of Bitcoin, involves dealing with anyone and everyone. And some of them 'WILL' damage our efforts. We are a strong community at the core and we need to sustain no matter what other people do.

Remember: Nothing that anyone does can alter the nature of mathematics.

I feel some of them are really committed to getting the Indian bitcoin industry doomed.

Hurrying it with press releases and press meet-ups is only going against your favor. It is not helping any of us. See what happened with the so called "Glbal Bitcoin Conference".

My advise is let bitcoin take its own course and regulations / support from the government will follow.

In the meantime, whatever project you are working on, make sure that you comply with all the local laws with regards to that particular trade.
Pay taxes as usual.
