Hi EdenHazard,

I' m sorry about your balance getting removed in CoinRoyale. As Ash and others have mentioned, according to our TOS, the funds in the dormant accounts are subject to removal, especially if the account is more than 5 years old. In addition, the email asking for the funds doesn't match the email of the accounts, which we definitely can't do it. We have emails coming in almost every week 'claiming' he/she owned the 'accounts' and asked us to send funds out to the address he/she provided. It's a textbook tactics by scammers and our team are very aware of it.

That being said, I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt for now as you're longstanding member here and a long time customer with us (I also remember talking to you back in the days). I'll PM you and work with you personally on further verification for your account.

One of the best Answer I ever read from gambling site owner for long time now, though there are some instance that Good answers comes some day but the reaction of Coinroyale owner is really Outstanding .

Respected 100%.

And see the situation post from @Victor seem like you also contacted with a different email, not the same as the email account.
Because he forgot his email which registered on CoinRoyale before, he has said that on OP when he made that email.on 2016 (it's already on OP).

That being said, I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt for now as you're longstanding member here and a long time customer with us (I also remember talking to you back in the days). I'll PM you and work with you personally on further verification for your account.

Respect this decision as well. +1

My though.

They still have "inactive" account rules and seem like they change the ToS after this issue getting into the public as well, but for "inactive" ToS the fund not removed is sending to you while you have stored address on the account. That's could be the reason, I don't find any information about the "dormant" account at the first time seeing on their ToS but while re-check again find it that.

And see the situation post from @Victor seem like you also contacted with a different email, not the same as the email account.

Wow! That's a fantastic move! Loved this gesture and courtesy even after your company has no obligation to refund the money after a long 5 years as per the terms & conditions.  That's the power of this beautiful community and straight forward communication.

Please do let us know the outcome of this matter! It's highly unlikely that casino support team would entertain a query for a 5 years old fund and where the registered email address is not being used for communication.

That is a pretty bad business practice in my opinion, deleting dormant accounts are not the best thing to do,you could've backed it up before deleting especially if there are funds in that account, that is basically taking someone's money away, you could also use some kind of verification of the owner to prevent scammers you know.

This is the best gesture from the admin of the site to its users since as per policy it is fair what you stated and did it. But knowing the other side too and ready to be making changes if need be is the best thing because this is how you build the trust among users and also help in building a good reputation in long term.

Just recheck again and yeah they have that term.

IMO, since they provided this information on their term & condition of their casino nothing you cant do right now since every service have their own rules and policy. I know was pitty losing 0.13 BTC but nothing cant do right now by following of their ToS since you are agree to all of them while you are decide to register.

Oh yeah about the ToS thing.
I found it's interesting ...

Take a look here https://web.archive.org/web/20160413102638/https://coinroyale.com/tos

Thoughts ?

Are you referring to this term:

Quote
Inactive Accounts
We reserve the right to close any accounts that have been inactive for more than 6 months and reclaim their funds. If have set a fixed withdraw address from the account menu, we will send the funds in your account to that address. If you have filled out a contact email, we will try to contact you via email before we shut down your account.

and comparing it to the new term on the screenshot above which is a bit modified? Afaik ToS is subject to change, so any casinos has the right to change/update/modify their ToS anytime it is needed. The old term is basically similar in case of "inactive/dormant account". It is just an unfortunate accident for you because you lose the access to your email, I believe they have tried to reach you in the past by contacting your registered email.
Imho you may get different result if you open a thread like this one back in 2016 after you get not reply from Victor.

Why did you stop contacting them in 2016 though? Did you give up at some point and now when your money is x10, you are desperately trying to take back the money that you lost because of your own fault?
because this is what he does , he Even make a contest just to find out where did the funds comes .
No offense man, but legally you can't do anything about your funds unless coinroyale wants to show some integrity out of their heart.
Actually while that is the real score , Yet that's hard to accept.
but the Main issue here is that The Coinroyale team is reaching out to  His email but the problem is he has no access on that said Email.

I dont think you can still get that account back. Their TOS clearly stated about  the dormant account and as they are trying to help you out, those informations they want you to provide  which I doubt if you all remember those, if they terminated your account the  how can they return your balance?

Well, you still have a point though. If they reply you back then, it was already fixed and will not reach this situation.

So what do you really think about this policy and my situation.
Am I guilty for being dormant and the balance get wiped out while I was in attempt to get access to the account back in 2016 ?
You and the site are not wrong. But you have an account with that site, so you need to follow their rule and if the rule is written, the dormant account will be blocked or terminated because there is no activity from you.

The site can recover your account, but I am afraid that the funds will not belong to you as you are inactive for a long time. I am pessimistic if your funds can recover as that is a long time from now, but if they can recover your account, that will be good for you as you can get your old account. But as @yahoo62278 said, you need to responsible for all of your account, even your old account, on any website.

It's an extreme situation to be honest: I' incline to be on the player's side mainly because ( that's my guess) keeping dormant accounts alive shouldn't involve a big effort by site owners but it's also true purpose of gambling sites is to run their core business and not act as free deposit accounts for players.
It's a pity so much money are wasted that way.
In my opinion would be a good gesture for the inconvenience from the site to offer some form of compensation like bonus money , free rounds or stuff like that.

I guess the betting site admin or customer service did not understand you clearly in order to give you an accurate reply. By the way, what betting site finally gave you that reply... CoinRoyal or Fortunejack? I'm not really sure if he/she understands you, assuming you are looking for the owner of the address which you probably claim you mistakenly transfer the coin to, or a virus/feature/setting changed the original address you intended to send the coin to to this current one? I expect he/she will make it clear to you, or help you solve the problem.

I think you could try to know from the admin if he/she can help you know exactly when the coins was moved(seems it was moved 3 days later after it was received),   where it was moved to, who owns the address/account, whether it's illegal to refund users funds after they have been moved by admins after the one year period.
I hope he/she can still access the archive though, maybe ask if he can? That should help solve the problem.

Any sincere honest gambling platform will never confiscate your funds for such silly reasons. Why it matters that he brought up this case 5 years? He can bring it after 50 years after all it is his money and if the site is up and running it must pay back. Clearly casino wants to take a cheap shot at 7000$ which shows their true colors.

^ That makes sense. It also explains why they sent notifications to an email you've already lost access. Nobody logged it before. Well, tough luck mate. Whatever the case, you probably would have gotten your balance back had you contacted them sooner (2017 to early 2018 would have been the best time for me.).

^ Ah I see. I got it it mixed up. So you contacted their official customer support first before asking help from Victor. Yeah you might have a case here why they ignored your second email. The question here is why they didn't asked you to provide additional information to verify it was really your account back in 2016. What changed in 2021?
I don't want to speculating but it seems back in 2016 everything handled by a very limited human resource or even I can say victor might be the only one who handle everything by himself.
Year after years it seems CoinRoyale gained popularity and victor think it's a must to have additional staff to handle a lot of people at the same time , and recently I see there's BitcoinASH act as customer service .. and some other guys actively being a community manager here.

Well in the end this is a speculation Grin

And guess what, they are successfully recover my account 5 years later!
Can you clarify if you sent follow ups from 2017 to 2020 using your another email? From what I understand, you also stopped asking when Victor didn't reply to you. It is possible that he didn't forward your case to the customer support that's why they kept contacting your forgotten email.

CoinRoyale obviously won't reply back to you since it has stated on their TOS. Your money, which we can considered has been "lost" is 0.13 btc or $7,644 which is huge amount but you can do nothing about that (in 2016, that was maybe only around $600-$700).

So what do you really think about this policy and my situation.
Am I guilty for being dormant and the balance get wiped out while I was in attempt to get access to the account back in 2016 ?
You can't do anything IMO. You were given 1 year (more than enough time) for access your account before but you abandon it. Sorry to say that

You are responsible for writing down the email addresses you use to sign up for accounts on websites, you are responsible for all the information you use to sign up on a website. You posted their terms on dormant accounts and the answer is simple, you screwed up and lost access to the email address or whatever, so it is your own fault.

It has been 5 years as well, and you're likely only worried about it hoping that they or someone can help you because the btc price is much higher then it was years ago.

My advice, keep notes somewhere when signing up for websites. Write stuff down and be responsible. Don't expect a website to fix your mistakes.
I did trying to recover the account and it's normal for being human to forgot something ... that's why there's a forgot password .. forgot username .. forgot email feature in every damn site , that's the standard and moreover .. the customer service, the one who be able guide you to do that, which that time victor failed to do so by stopping to reply to my email.

And guess what, they are successfully recover my account 5 years later!

So here's the newest timeline as per 2021

✓ I did forgot
✓ they are replying
✓ they are helping me out
✓ they recovered my account
✓ I get my access to the account

Yes , the customer service working properly in 2021.

Guess what would happen if victor replied to my email back in 2016?

I never used CoinRoyale website so far, I don't think they are active in Bitcointalk forum, and I can't find if they have any betting license, if that is the case don't be surprised that something like this happened.
You should read terms on their website and if they have some rule that can terminate your acount for being dormant for years than there is nothing you can do about it, and there is nobody to complain about your problem.
Why would they terminate a dormant account, I mean that thing shouldn't be done especially if they are dealing with money. With this kind of thing happening around the Internet and these gambling sites just putting every rule that they think fits their agenda makes me want to puke, I hope that some regulation is going to be put for these exploitative practices.

This is their active thread on Bitcointalk. They are one among the oldest gambling platform, and the lack of promotion has made it unknown to most of the gamblers and the bitcointalk community members. As you've said different sites follow different procedures, and this being an oldest one sticking to a stepped process whereas the late launched platforms does it with ease on a single request.
Yeah I've been following them since they started the business.
I have good relationship with victor too.

So, did you can access the account with that address or not? or just some speculation you ask them to look the account with that address and they send full information like Email, ETC. I guess you also need to provide your log in on "CoinRoyale" with your email + show people the deposit address is belong to you with some video capture I guess. The  only problem always how to verify you are not using that fund for bets due to this problem have a gap 4 years and almost some casino not really save at all history for a long gap time. I believe you still can SS the picture for number 9 as well.

If, you can provide all those things make the scam assumption against them because there is no any information at all on FAQ and T&C about the rules any balance more than 1 years will be remove.

Use them FAQ and T&C for the response that.
I did have the access to the account after going through security verification.
They are giving access to me as they verified the rightful owner

Somehow they have it written though

Meanwhile at fortunejack my account with years being dormant .. the fund is still there safe .

Yea I can confirm that because I did a very similar thing except with Fortunejack, I dont know how but I forgot or misplaced my record of balance with them.  I was on the original FJ sig campaign long ago so think it was from that deposit.  Literally years go by and yet when I return Im able to recover my details the balance waiting for me, that is the way it really should be and I'll always repeat that story because its a point in their favour in terms of trust.   Anyone can fall ill etc, who knows the distractions people have unforeseen and unavoidable.   Its not a gold bar or some kind of cost to maintain, just a number I see no reason why they cannot just be a safe holder of funds like anywhere.
The problem is in FIAT currency its now a given any savings you have will be wiped out if you leave them there, some people speculate eventually this attitude will extend to pensions and people will be destitute/reliant on hand outs.   I understand archiving, banks will archive a current account but even a plain bank wont absorb the balance and argue its now theres.

I have several gambling accounts which had been dormant for years but i do still able to access those without any problems and this one is different because they do delete or trash out inactive account
even if there's some funds inside it? If i were you op, then better not to hope or expect much about getting back some access to this account because they will surely insist all over again
about being dormant for how many years and if we do understand the situation then they are really the ones who had made out the problem.

Actually being dormant account for too long would usually be having this kind of problem since most website or platforms would definitely be wiping it out
or freeing up some space but the thing here is that they dont make out such response when you are still actively sending out some email to them
in regards with the issue.Im dont experience on playing with Coinroyale though but talking about chances on getting those funds back or
account to be accessible again is very less likely to happen.

Yes.Yes. Yes.
I can prevent my account being dormant if only they replied to my email, as I reported the issue right after I think I have lost / forgot the access to the account with the mentioned address above.

I know yeah different company, different policies, I got it.. just saying though.

I'm not sure if I have to put this thread on scam accusations As I respected victor alot but since he is no longer replying to my email.. I'm going to post this matter publicly to hear what do you guys think about my dispute.

So I've been looking for the address below for years 16CQvkMJHcDrCMnd8srZHVJnpHyZM4cLub

I sent the coins there but forgot which account as far as I remember I send the coins from fortune jack to that address

Even I put it on a contest back in 2016 take a look here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.15409543

So here's the timeline

1. June 10th 2016 I sent the coins and Forgot the access to the account with this address 16CQvkMJHcDrCMnd8srZHVJnpHyZM4cLub

2. June 18th 2016 Contacted victor asking for help

3. June 19th 2016 Got an answer that there's no deposit coming

4. I explained again the account with this address 16CQvkMJHcDrCMnd8srZHVJnpHyZM4cLub

5. 2016 No answer

6. The whole 2016 , 2017 and 2018 keep looking for that address to other sites and put it on a contest to find in which account/site that address belong

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.15409543

8. February 5th 2021 Contacted support again asking for help finding this account with address 16CQvkMJHcDrCMnd8srZHVJnpHyZM4cLub And they found it

9. They said

'Unfortunately as the account has been dormant for over 4 years, the accounting history has been archived and is not accessible.

Any balance that existed in the account would have been removed after 1 year and repeated attempts to contact you via the email on record.'

They were repeated contacted me through the email that I have no longer access to it before the balance Removed while I'm contacting them during 2016 that I forgot the account and they give no answer.

so no matter how many times they sent notifications there to my email that I have no longer access to it, it's useless as I was in attempt to fix the problem/find solution but then there's no reply from them, that's the bottom line.
I should have got that 'dormant account' notification, if only that time back  In June 2016 they are following up my case

Sorry if my timeline messed up due my sucks grammar.
