Thanks for sharing. Yes, in fact, it seems like he plagiarize some parts from the medium article:
No I didn't but he, the author of the medium article exerpted the whole content of that video without mentioning the original source.

Anyway, that`s for the admins to determinate, but, yes, it seems like plagiarizing to me too, for he didn`t include the Medium article in his sources and actually the paragraph is identical.
Admin determined that I'm not the devil here and Theymos unbanned me. That means admins and staff still cares about good members. Because most of the  friends of mine told that you're not going to unban again wether you did or not what they claimed. But actually they all are wrong.

Again it is clearly not needed to cite a plagiarized article as a source where the Original source has been already cited!

Here is the part where the OP says it all:

I have found a video which simply explained the Smart Contracts. So I would like to shared that content with other members( specially newbies who loves to learn about crypto field and it's usages).

Reading the bolded part might help the admin to unban this forum member because I don't see any plagiarizing here, OP says that they want to share the content of that video and that video is the original source of this article, so they were banned by mistake. please unban this member if possible.

EDIT: this member just broke the rule of this forum after getting unbanned, is he banned again? because I sent them a PM warning them about not posting in a row and nothing changed.

EDIT 2: strikethrough and the following, no he's not banned again, he just deleted the consecutive posts. Wink

The thread you posted is no longer available, so it is impossible for anyone to determinate if you actually copied/pasted the Medium and the Youtube information.

it's available now, is that mean he is no longer banned?

@OP is the whole content excerpted from that youtube? (I didn't watch it, I don't like youtube)
if it does, even after stating/embedding the link you should've put the content in quote box
with quote box, it would make that obvious the content is cited from other source

Honestly, all that you can do is to wait for the admins to see your case.

If there is an archived copy of the thread the OP is talking about, it would be useful to share it.

My username is vphasitha01 and currently, I'm in member rank. I have created a thread explaining Smart Contracts and I was accused of plagiarism by Hero member BTCforJoe  Then few minutes later my account was banned by the Global Moderator rickbig41. I have quoted down what "BTCforJoe" posted in my thread.

Additionally, it could be considered plagiarism, as you've obviously used this article as your source without citing it. Some parts of your post are blatantly copied and pasted.
Not cool, unless you can prove that you are the author of the Medium post...
Archived link, in case you edit/delete your original post.

But as anyone can see I have embedded the link to the source in the very first sentence of my article!

I have found a video which simply explained the Smart Contracts.
But what actually has happened is the author of the medium post (One Mentioned by BTCforJoe), has copied the content of the same YouTube video without citing the original source. I mentioned the original source (YouTube Video) in my article without knowing anything about this Medium article. By comparing the published dates of the Medium article and the YouTube video it is clear that the author of the medium article has copied content from the YouTube video and it is clearly not needed to cite a plagiarized article as a source where the Original source has been already cited!

Video published date              - 20th Nov 2017
Medium article published date - 12th Feb 2018

So please be kind enough to consider lift my Ban and reinstall my account, as i'm not a shitposter or spammer but the well wisher of the forum.
