Don't really know how because there is nothing you can do with 1k satoshis besides gambling.

A Bitcoin newbie can use faucet earnings to experiment with payments and various wallet setup methods. It's better to risk messing up with a few satoshis, than a few Bitcoin.

Gambling is a waste of time, and the squandering of a learning opportunity.

''Experiment'' Really? With 1k satoshis? You don't even have enough to pay the fees, there is no need to experiment anything, just read about it first and if you are convinced you can start using bitcoins but as I said, wasting hours of your time to get merely 100k satoshis at the end so you can ''experiment'' it's stupid. You won't even be able to use exchanges with such low amount of money. Bitcoin is sloppy when it comes to attract new users because it's hard to buy bitcoins without a credit card but faucets are not the solution.

But this thread is about faucet rotators, not faucets. And it's true that faucet rotators are using ref links which is against the rules therefore should not be allowed.

And you should stop posting trash to increase your post count.

Yeah, that pretty much seems like a loophole and yeah, you can't use ref links in any section of the forum so you are right, they should be banned, faucets are shit anyways although people say they are important to promote bitcoin (?) Don't really know how because there is nothing you can do with 1k satoshis besides gambling.

Faucets are useful for learning and training, but no good as a source of income. Maybe referral links should be banned from posts and sigs, but the forum should have some descriptive stickies, or even a review board. That would remove the spam, and give the forum a bit of income from referrals.

I think everyone is misunderstanding OP, he doesn't mean all faucet rotators, he's talking about those faucet rotators where you can put in your referral link and claim referral earnings through people who go through the rotator that you put your ref link in.

People put their referral links in, and repost the faucet rotator multiple times. I think that's why OP's a bit angry, it is rather annoying seeing the same sites posted again and again in different threads. Like I said, this should be considered as ref spam and probably needs to be reported.

Yes, that's it. I guess I'll take your earlier advice and try to report what I see and hope those threads get trimmed down a bit.

Do you mean banning threads announcing faucet rotators? Or banning people from replying in every single faucet announcement something along the lines of "I've added your faucet to my rotator (or faucet list). Please link back"?

Threads where the faucet owner asks users to post whenever they receive payment can be pretty annoying too.

There are already rules against ref spamming in that section, but the faucet rotators are pretty much a loophole around that.  That forum is now filled with 75% threads of everyone spamming the same old sites to get refs through their rotator.

Thoughts?

You can disregard that if you find it hurting your eyes.

Faucet rotators somehow help some newbies here. In the past there's a thread there (or even now I think) about 1,000 satoshis rewards compilation. For a newbie that is really a great help because it minimize the time they will spend finding some faucets like that.

If you find some rubbish or annoying post about those then you can use the "Report" button.

Some like it some don't like it like everywhere you come you see things you like or don't like. Just move on and don't spend time to things you don't like. Starting this topic is also being busy with things you don't like.

I don't think they should be ban, micro earnings are their rightful place and faucets are important part of promoting bitcoins and other altcoin we have used it from the past for the purpose of adoption..

I don't think we should ban faucet rotators completely, as there are some owners of faucet rotators who actually use this forum properly to get their faucet rotator noticed, but we should delete all posts that have a faucet rotator ref link and ban the posters if needed.

What you can do OP, is report these posts to moderators and maybe warn the makers of the threads that creating threads solely for the purpose of promoting ref links are not allowed.
