That's exactly what I'm talking about but you're gonna have to make a case for it. See an example of a successful appeal here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/permaban-appeal-chibitcty-5114253

markiz73 really knows a lot about mining. In his words, I have never seen anger or trolling towards other users. He always shares information that he owns.

Recently, in many Russian social networks I see people who call on the forum to earn money at the bounty. They promise 250-500$ per month. Here is one of the examples: https://vk.com/wall-126850575_81014. I do not think that newcomers who will come to the forum will be more useful than the guilty old men.  If we give a second chance to such users with some restrictions, for example, will be prohibited to wear a signature, they will not only share useful information on the forum, but also help in the fight against new crowds of shitposters.

It is without a doubt, and there is more of it, and markiz73 must know what he did unless he purchased the account. That's why all these appeals that are trying to downplay the offense are not going to work and theymos has clearly stated - make your case on your value to the forum and you can be considered for a sig ban.

Yep, but i think that this guy deserve only for a sig ban. In our local (post USSR) community, he was not the usefullest person, but helpfull enough (mostly to miners and newbies) to get sig ban.

I will support
why not limit only sig ban?

Sorry, markiz, but this is really looks like copypasta

There's been no policy change. redsn0w wasn't permanently banned due to several factors which made me think that permabanning him would be a net negative for the forum. Nobody is banned strictly because of "the rules"; it's always handled case-by-case, but almost always, plagiarists deserve to be permabanned.

If you think that a ban should be ended, make your case in a new topic from a "good for the forum as a whole" perspective.

That's not how it works. You weren't forced to make posts in English, there is a fully populated Russian board on this forum.

Do you understand how shitty is your statement?
For honest, it's real and big problem, i'm talking about no-native english speakers. For example, me: trying to not look like a 'bobs and vagene" forced me to use simple sentences, mostly (Present/past/future indefinite and others). But we have one problem: all simple sentences  (particularly about close meaning topics) have tend to repeat in time.  Some kind of linguistic problem.

And of course, native english speakers at first telling "sit in your local board, russian scam!" but then something like "Mommy, why this russian version of Tyrion Lannister, Vladimir Putin, going to nuke our silly city in our silly country?? I don't want to burn in radioactive hell, MOMMY!!!1"

P.S: But of course, this is not simple sentence:
Quote
"Many project are now starting off with a mvp/demo, it probably means than in the icos field the bar will raise and people, hopefully, will become wiser and stop investing in project which are promising unrealistic goals."
Sorry, markiz, but this is really looks like copypasta

In the real world, even murderers and rapists are not isolated for life. Have I committed a heavy felony?

Oh shut the fuck up. Two posts that have been reported.

The possibility of a softer plagiarism penalty (e.g. a sig ban) depends on your value to the forum. Focus on that. Stop lying and using logical fallacies.
I'm already afraid to write something, because everything is perceived negatively. I acknowledge the violation of the rules. I am willing to make amends and accept any alternative punishment, if possible. I am ready to refuse to sign, if this is proof of repentance.

Does theymos consider the implementation of the new rulings of the ban like banning it for a certain period of time to which user cannot wear signature? It was being applied to some good users though but I do not know for maybe that it only applies to the good users that are committing plagiarism offense but has the good posting skills. Well, could anyone affirm this current updates with ban?

First you say: "The posts for which I am accused of plagiarism were standard questions? I didn't steal other people's thoughts or sayings."

and then you said: "I do not deny my guilt, I made a mistake."

What's funny is that you're even more bad at lying.

colleague, I do not deny my guilt, I made a mistake.
But my posts did not offend anyone, did not harm the forum and its users, did not call for financial losses and deception of other users.
It doesn't matter. You committed an offense. Which was clearly in the rules.

I am Russian, and I copied some phrases, because I did not know how to write in English. And without knowledge of the English grammar when using Google translator, you can get the usual set of words. I am even now copying some phrases, because I don’t know how to write it in English
Not a valid excuse.

Well, the law in your country and that rules here in Bitcointalk are different. And yes, it's a heavy felony when talking about writing.

I do not understand you, why do you deny me an account because of 2 posts that were written about 18 months ago Huh
This topic is already overgrown with moss.

Read my latest posts, if you are too lazy to translate, then ask the opinion of admins and meritsorses in Russian local.

I am a miner, I have a lot of merit and useful posts on this section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=21.0

If you decide to judge me, then at least spend a little time to study my case, my benefit for the forum and the harm that I caused.
https://bpip.org/profile.aspx?p=markiz73

I only ask you for support in that I do not deserve such harsh punishment.

I know that moderators can mitigate punishment.

You should have read the rules, and there is a thread containing all rules in Russian, so you did break a rule, and you were banned afterwards.

There is a slight to no chance of your account getting unbanned, no one cares how many merits you earned, so fortunately or not, you're not coming back to this forum anytime soon, not only your account. Sorry not sorry.

Plagiarism is a deliberately crime.
So are you saying you committed obvious plagiarism in a way that's not on purpose? lmao

If I do not find defenders and support, I will leave the forum.
You won't have any defenders. And regardless if you actually earned defenders, it doesn't matter. The plagiarism offense is evident. 👋👋

These explanations do not suit me at all.

After all, anyone who does not speak English would use Google translate feature to translate and create text, and not look for whole sentences to copy and paste, because how would he understand them if he does not speak English properly?

Somehow it does not fit.

Do you have backers, partners? It is probably the best advertisement for any ICO to have legit backers/partners.
Many project are now starting off with a mvp/demo, it probably means than in the icos field the bar will raise and people, hopefully, will become wiser and stop investing in project which are promising unrealistic goals.

A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by a Bitcoin Forum moderator. Posts are most frequently deleted because they are off-topic, though they can also be deleted for other reasons. In the future, please avoid posting things that need to be deleted.

Since it has been deleted it will be no longer available on your posts history and you really brought it here (good thing). How can you still say with guts that you haven't really done copy pasting? Your post counts, merits, your positive reputation and how long you've been here doesn't exempt you if you did wrong, I guess for the long time you've been here you are aware that plagiarism is prohibited and it will ruin your account.

I did not do copypasting on the forum.
I have been with you for 3 years, the forum is my life.

The last time I studied English at the institute was at the end of the 199x. We read idiotic texts about communism and taught unfamiliar words.

I am Russian, my native language is Russian.
In 2017, I began to learn English grammar, communicate with colleagues on the English forum. I had to overcome considerable difficulties. At the initial stage, I had to use various phrasebooks and also use some parts of phrases from collections.
It is very difficult to immediately write phrases in a foreign language.

But I have more than 3000 posts in this forum, 141 merit in different boards, a positive reputation. I did not promote scam projects and you will not find bad reviews about me.

The posts for which I am accused of plagiarism were standard questions? I didn't steal other people's thoughts or sayings.

Hi, today got a ban.
I have long been on this forum, never hurt the community.
I want to know the reason for the ban

https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/markiz73-786044

Sorry markiz73, you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum.
You have been permanently banned by a forum moderator, probably due to spam or plagiarism. You may appeal here, but your chances are not good: ...
