Self miners consume just 2MB/hour of bandwidth on their on rig setup, so bandwidth isn't much of an issue for miners actually. The reason behind the low bandwidth consumption is due to the actually low necessity of internet on behalf of mining activities. Bitcoin mining, without dedicated equipment, is done through CPU power, and not through internet power. So, I guess it's safe to say that you don't need to worry about your ISP's bandwidth limit (if any) when mining your BTCs.

Bandwidth is not an issue at all. I know people that are mining Alt coins from home with 5 computers with high end graphics

cards and they have 4MB Wireless Internet. They are also running Netflix on 2 or 3 devices at a time and browsing the

internet and watching Youtube videos on tablets.... all at the same time. The mining does not affect their speed at all.  Grin

Bandwidth consumption is insignificant when it comes to mining.
You're using a lot more browsing facebook.
Latency is a factor but since you claim you have "high speed" probably FO then it shouldn't be a problem either.

:)How much bandwidth does mining take up? I'm planning on building a bitcoin miner, wondering if bandwidth is a major factor? I share high speed with my roommates. Will their service be affected if I leave my miner on for days on end? Smiley
